Weather=Miserable
May. 24th, 2005 08:44 pm-OD: *each tentacle holding an umbrella* You can say that again.-
-VM: What is with all this rain?-
-VD2: Dreariest May on record they said on the news.-
-DW: Once again, I am thankful for having a thick coat.-
Rhode Island has sucky weather up the wazoo. It's been raining practically all day. Mom came and picked me up from work so I wouldn't have to walk home and get all wet.
-M: How was work?-
Better than yesterday. Only moderately busy, although we got a bit of a backlog in the back room. Most of the customers actually came in right before my shift ended.
-AJ: Well, that just figures.-
I know. Only one moderately sucky moment -- I got to handle a suit that had been drooled on. Bleck. Washed my hands straight afterward, I promise you. Luckily this was at the very end of my shift. *whew* Glad I'm getting paid this Friday.
Okay, onto my usual obsession, Sims. And before you boys say a word, I wrote more revised stuff on "Teen Doc." *points to notebook*
-D: *grin* That's fine. We don't mind the Sims, but we're supposed to be inspiring you to write too.-
I know, I know. *patpat* Anyway, it was over to Hill Valley and the Elder McFlys, since I hadn't visited them in a while. It was Monday morning -- Seamus and Maggie did some romance, while William used the toilet and meditated. As Seamus and Maggie had the want to dance with each other, I briefly rented a cheap stereo and watched them rock together:

Seamus called Doc and Linda to strengthen their friendships, Maggie did the same with Ivy. William spent another day as a Desk Sargeant and tended to his money trees. Seamus got the "test suites -- speak mind about them or let Wiki the monkey do them" card -- I had him speak his mind and get the 700 bonus. *is curious* I've never actually chosen the monkey side. I wonder what happens if you let the monkey run the tests. *shrug* Oh well.
Maggie had Ivy over to make proper friends, while Seamus best-friended Linda over the phone. I thought Ivy might make a good wife for William, but it turned out she was a teenager -- foiled again. After she left, Seamus had George over and proceeded to make friends.

George left early Tuesday morning, leaving the family to sleep for awhile. That morning, after breakfast, I finally bought them a stove, as Maggie is up to 7 Cooking skill. William managed to make Vice Squad in his work, and I bought a chessboard and two chairs to celebrate -- also so he could earn the next logic point for his promotion. Maggie also called Ivy again. Theirs is a quiet house, really.
I also finally moved the Baines Family into a lot:

From left to right is Milton, Sally, Toby, and Joey. Milton is a Fortune Sim, Sally Family, Toby Knowledge, and Joey Popularity. I built them a little house, and the boys proceeded to play kicky bag with each other, while Sally made breakfast for everybody. Sally got a Culinary job, while Milton got an Athletic one -- Toby shall be Medical, while Joey is pretty much doomed to be Criminal. :p Their welcome wagon was Seamus, Maggie, and Doc. Joey and Doc hit it off well -- not so much Doc and Toby, unfortunately. They all gained various skills and chatted each other up, then it was off to bed for all of them. Nothing particularly exciting, but at least I know what the heck their aspirations are.
-VuM: Back to Academie Le Tour tomorrow?-
Either that or Strangetown Brown to check up on Eileen. Possibly both. ;p
