crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
Or, to be more specific, do I want to buy anything from the Girl Genius Store, and if I do, what?
-MDC: *plays "Material Girl"*-
Shaddup. I really don't spend money that often. Most of the stuff on my wishlist never makes it to reality.
-D: She does have a point. She's more of a browser than anything.-
That I am. And I'm going to need more space on my bookshelves before I buy anything else. *blush* I was raised by booksellers, what do you expect?
-M: Anyway, whatcha looking at?-
Well, seeing as I'm pretty new to Girl Genius as a whole, the Celestial Pre-Web Package (all the Girl Genius before the web debut) seems like a good way to get caught up. However, it's also 62 dollars. Buying the three softcover collections and simply waiting for number four would cost about 51 dollars.
-J: Yikes, expensive.-
I know, but reading it one page at a time on the web makes you ultra-impatient. I could also get JumpStart Pak 1, which is the first soft-cover collection (issues 1-3), issues 4-6, and a promo poster for 21.70.
-VD: Have you thought about shopping around? Seeing if Borders or Barnes and Noble has it?-
I should, shouldn't I? I'll look in a few.

Strangetown Sims today -- the Brown family on your average Sunday. Not that much interesting happened -- Marty started a new painting (he has regular wants to sell a masterpiece), Lorraine called Clara and Jennifer to catch up, everyone played instruments at one point, and George, Doc, and Eileen all studied their skills -- George and Eileen Mechanical, Doc Cleaning.

Doc managed to max out his cleaning skill, which was nice -- 4 more points in Mechanical and Charisma, and he'll be fully maxed out. (Oddly enough, I think those are the same 4 points Emmett Von Braun needs to max out).

-VD: Nice to know our Sim selves are being true to life.-
Yup. The fridge did end up running low again, so I sent Doc out to get suppplies. I occupied the other Sims so they wouldn't raid the fridge before he left -- Lorraine jumped on the couch, George played piano, and Marty and Eileen played together:

Doc arrived at 121 Jigowatt Drive with the want to go swimming -- after buying groceries, I indulged him and had him dive into the pool:

-M2: Woo, nice dive Doc.-
-VM: Nice swimsuit too.-
-VD2: She picked it, not me.-
Anyway, upon arriving home, I decided that, instead of dinner, I'd have Doc cook up dessert - Baked Alaska. And let me tell you, that thing looked yummy.

Then, of course, Doc had to brown it with a flame:

-MDC: O.O There's a dessert you can set on FIRE?! *evilhugegrin*-
Don't even think about it, or I'll --
-MDC: *sticks out tongue* You'll what?-
-DW: Let me eat him? Please?-
-OD: Couldn't he just bimf out of your digestive track?-
-DW: I'll at least have had the satisfaction of swallowing him.-
I'll let DocWolf swallow you AND have TeenDoc find a use for you in one of his inventions.
-TD: Like an anti-bimfing device?-
-MDC: GAH! NO CAGE! I'LL BE GOOD! *bimfs away*-
-DW: Have I told you lately that I love you, kid?-
