OMG Spring Weather
Mar. 10th, 2006 10:40 pmSeriously, supposed to get up to around 60 tomorrow.
-D: Finally!-
-VD: We were sick of this nasty weather!-
I can tell. Ahh, it'll be nice to get back to warmer weather --
*suddenly remembers job*
Ah crap, I'm gonna die of heat exhaustion.
-TD: Does it really get that hot in there?-
Ooooh yeah. *whimper in fear*
Hill Valley Sims time! Played the Browns again -- mostly to see if Doc was still employeed in the Time Travel Career track. He was. :) Of course, he has the weekends off, so I won't see him at work for a bit yet. In the meantime, I have him crafting robots.

Crafting and repairing, actually -- one of his robots was born broken. A quick fix and it was ready to sell, though.

The kids are all getting along well -- Martina managed to befriend both Jules and Verne. I think she leans toward Popularity Sim, honestly, she has wants to meet new people a lot. Might be Family though, she likes interacting with family members. . . .

As you can see, she and Verne are sci-fi geeks. :p
Jules made breakfast for everyone this morning -- I'm still having them focus on skills, of course. Gotta start building up Body skill though, only Doc has any.

The boys focused on friend-making more today, though. Jules had his school bud Sophia over -- she brought along Ivy. Why I don't know, as she promptly poked her when they arrived. *shrug* Well, she and Jules get along and became proper friends. But any hopes of her being a teen love just went out the window.

Verne called up his almost-friend Orlando, then joined Ivy for chess. I think Ivy may have a chance at being a teen love. Have to wait and see.

Martina kept the focus on skills. Here she is in her regular outfit -- I still think it's pretty ugly. *makes note to go to clothing store next time*

She continues to have a good relationship with Mom and Dad. I love this new Dance Together thing for grownups/kids. :) And the "home from work hug" is pretty cute too.

Verne also took a whack at the robot station. His product was born broken, though. Doc fixed it up for him. Can't wait until they can make more powerful robots.

-D: Isn't your plan to create E Brown Enterprises with this family?-
Yup. I need to build up the robotery badge first though. And just plain get some more capital -- the family's relatively poor funds-wise. Almost all the money went into the house. Once I can create a garage store and buy some shelving, I'll declare the place open for business.
-OD: Should be interesting to watch, at any rate.-
Heh, yeah. :) Although sad news, apparently Aspiration rewards are unsellable. :( Darnit.
-TD: Aren't there hacked buyable versions?-
Yeah, but that doesn't solve my "Top Emmett has 5 million aspiration points" problem. Aw well.
Bonus pic of a napping Doc:

-DW: More work on "BTTX-2," I see.-
Yeah. Also trying to kick my ass back into gear for "Liquid Chocolate." Gotta do this Gypsy bit, darn it.
-D: I thought writing for one of your own characters would be easy.-
Me too. Maybe it's the lack of your feelings that are hindering it. Must press on, though.
-VD: As long as you get Mystie's chapter out soon.-
A final check and it should be up by tomorrow. :)
-OD: Any more ideas on the puppet pals? Or perhaps another drawing?-
I watched Potter Puppet Pals this afternoon, and I think I've got an idea on how to draw them. So yeah, expect those soon. And I am going to try and get back to "Hoverboards."
*Martys all pose with theirs*
LoL, precisely.
-TD: How about the next chapter of "Boy Genius?"-
I'll stick with the current endpoint and start editing tomorrow.
-H: Where are we, typing-wise?-
Emmett's day from hell and his own Spark breaking loose. I've just gotten up to the "complicated family trees" that start chapter five.
-E: I still don't see why I have to be Emmett's half-sibling.-
You can deal -- unless you're saying you don't want to be Elias's spawn. In which case I'm sorry, but you still must deal.
-TD: At least she takes after Mother.-
I've also got an idea for rant!Emmett in a future chapter, based on the whole "Gilgamesh Goes Looney" thing that ended Volume Five of Girl Genius. Ahh, I love Sparks. :D
Okay, time to play more Nanaca Crash. Made about 5748 recently -- maybe I can break the 6000 barrier again.
