Well, belated birthday to Neville, his was yesterday. I've been a little bad about updating this thing lately, haven't I?
-DW: I'll say. You didn't get to
revison_doc's update until 11:30!-
I know, I know! Won't happen again, though.
-VD: You finally finished reading through the "Narbonic" archives?-
Yeah. Well, all the regular strips -- I skipped most of the Sunday stuff in favor of the actual plot-related stuffs. Even still, I was up late last night reading it all.
-VD2: At least you're finished now and can actually focus on writing.-
Doing some last-minute editing on "Misery Journey" as we speak. I'll be up by tonight. I'm also doing a bit of editing on the beginning of "Teen Doc."
-TD: Oh? Why?-
It was Moonlady -- I got another chance to talk to her a little bit ago, after her version of the "Hoverboards" pic, and we got to talking about Holly. She mentioned that she didn't think Holly and Emmett were that close because of Doc only mentioning her for the first time at the beginning of "Teen Doc."
-H: Preposterous! If you read any your Teen Doc miniseries thing you've got going on, I star in practically all of them!-
I know -- what Moonlady mentioned is MY fault. You're kind of like Gypsy in a way, Hol -- you're a later addition to the storyline that I now have to kind of retcon in. So I'm editing the beginning of "Teen Doc" a bit to make it look like you've talked about her before, you just never got around to showing pictures and stuff.
-D: Yes, I really should start mentioning her in a couple of the other PreTimes at least, right?-
I've got an ace in the hole there, though -- the major PreTime is "Best Friends Forever And Then Some," and I have yet to edit that. It'll be much easier to add a couple of mentions to Holly in there. I also have another PreTime waiting, "The Price of Genius," that I can mention her in.
-VD: "The Price of Genius?"-
Centers around that award you won in 1983. You invite Marty along to the awards ceremony, and he has a crisis of friendship when he realizes just how smart you really are. I admit, I was partially inspired by Tekva's work, when Marty mentions in a story about how Doc shouldn't have been hanging around him, but with his fellow scientists.
-OD: My peers include people like Donald Patrickson. Who wants to hang around him? *tentacles hiss and chatter in agreement*-
-D: I take it that story will be somewhat angsty mush?-
To a degree, yes. It's not scheduled for a bit, but I do want to do it at some point.
-DW: How about we handle what you've already got on your plate?-
True enough. I've got a challenge story finish editing -- ta-ta for now.
-DW: I'll say. You didn't get to
