crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
-->Been catching up at "Narbonic." Have become completely enamored with the idea that, somehow, "Narbonic" is the natural future of "Girl Genius." You gotta admit, Shaennon and the Foglios have a number of similiar ideas. The whole thing, especially with the alternate "Victorian" timeline, just screams for a proper crossover.

-->I have a Drabbles88:
Drabbles88 -- Prompt 63 )

-->Sims 2: Pets has been officially announced. The pets do look very cool, but I'm put off by two things:
1. They eliminated gardening, which I loved.
2. The pets are uncontrollable, which I DETESTED. However, the recent chat log suggests a cheat to make them controllable. This may be acceptable.
I'll probably end up getting it, but I don't think it'll be one of the more-liked expansion packs for me. Too bad -- I've loved the three that are out. Open For Business has far exceeded my expectations.

-->Going back to the "Narbonic" and "Girl Genius" things, would it be okay if I claimed to be a Mad Author?
-VD: Honestly, I'm surprised you didn't try to claim that before.-
-TD: You write me. I think you can claim it safely.-
-D: She gives US some pretty neat inventions too, you know.-
-TD: I know! I was just referring to the fact that I'm actually FROM one of those universes.-
-OD: Good point. Yes, Vic, I think we can all agree you're a Mad Author.-
-VD2: A Very Mad Author.-
-DW: Extremely Mad.-
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-TD: Needs a bit more bass, but not a bad effort!-
Thanks!

-->Expect "Misery Journey" soon, as this weekend is the end of July. And now that I have the final revisions on the final chapter of BTTX-2, expect to see that wrapped up soon, and plopped on the website.
-VD: How goes things with "V.D.?"-
I completely rewrote the beginning so that you realize you're amnesiac before the buried alive thing -- I kind of like it.
-M2: Neat. Any other major revisions?-
I'm gonna see what I can do with Mystie's speech.

-->I'm back on an MST3K kick, so I may be on a bit late tomorrow -- I plan to watch a movie over lunch. Just not sure which one yet. . . .
-D: Joel or Mike?-
Probably Mike, if only because I have more Mike episodes (I started watching the series while it was on Sci-Fi.)

-->Mad Scientist Legacy is being bad.
-VD2: What, can't figure out how to score it?-
I'm thinking up all kinds of injokes and naming the neighborhoods for it.
-DW: And once again, this explains the plot bunnies.-
-M: I think the only think that's keeping her from doing this is the fact you wouldn't have an avatar in that neighborhood.-
I'm highly tempted to create Doc anyway. Blasted Sims. . . .

-M: Which MST3K was it?-
"Time Chasers" -- you know, that bad time-travel movie made in 1993?
-D: That one again?-
*shrug* It was on my mind. But you know what I noticed today?
-M: What?-
During the scenes in the distopian future, the main characters are walking down an alley. Servo comments that "Even in the future, people still put up posters of their bands." Curious, I look to see if this is really true.
. . . .
-M2: Aaaaand. . . ?-
THEY PUT A BACK TO THE FUTURE MOVIE POSTER ON THE WALL!!
-VM: Wah?-
I'm serious! I rewound a bit to get a better look, and it was definitely a poster for Part I! Geez! Yo, executive producers -- DON'T REMIND PEOPLE OF AN INFINITELY BETTER MOVIE WHILE THEY'RE WATCHING YOURS!
-TD: Sounds like they were going for an injoke and failed miserably.-
I'll say, since this is the first time I've actually noticed that poster. Then again, I haven't watched "Time Chasers" -- or anything else MST3K in a while. Feels good to get back with the bots and Mike/Joel.
-VD: Speaking of which, did you find anything on MTS2?-
Just a jumpsuit and some bedding. *pout* Would have been neat to find statues of Crow and Tom, at least.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that. I'm sure your lives have been enriched. I'm off to write fan fiction, see about e-mailing Bob Gault and scanning in some old BTTF:TR photos, and listening to some more music via YouTube.
-DW: Don't forget the Mad Scientist Legacy.-
Ack! Don't revive Emma!

-->My Girl Genius collections came today! Yes! Now I have the complete set. They're in lovely condition, and Collection 5 has on the "about the authors" page an image of Agatha and Gil cuddling. I am pleased. :D

-->[livejournal.com profile] revison_doc update -- a big one featuring the McFly home bakery. They're up to rank 3 and doing quite well for themselves. Next update, it's back to college!

-->Uploaded a crapload of pics to devART -- mostly BTTF:The Ride related, though there's a few old Halloween pictures and my "me and Craig Shaw Gardner" picture. You can see them in my scrapbook. Hey, OckDoc, does that count as fanart?
-OD: *consults with tentacles* Not really, but as you uploaded them on devART and will get commentary, we'll give you partial credit.-
Tanku. :)

-->I wrote my e-mail to Bob Gault about the ride closing, and included some pictures. He probably won't care, but I felt better for writing it.

-->Writing mostly consisted of "Past Amnesia's" weekend half-page. I'll be working harder tomorrow.
-VD: I hope so, you've got editing.-
-VD2: Especially on "Misery Journey."-
I know, I know, I'll try and have that up by tomorrow.

-->I'm thirsty. I think I'll go correct that.
