RPD: Happy Birthday, Shandy
Aug. 23rd, 2006 10:41 pmYup, Shandy from the BTTF boards turns 24 today -- just saw the notice at the bottom of BTTFOnline's forum. See you later, Shand!
-M: Where is he, anyway?-
I assume that he's in the states by this time, visiting his girlfriend Purplewear. (Isn't it pathetic that I don't know either of their real names?) Later they'll be visiting LonePineKath and discokev.
-D: So, basically, everyone important from the RPG except you are going to be together at some point.-
Well, I AM dead at the moment. . . *goes to change her user title to reflect this fact*
-TD: *playing catch with Fetch* I've been wondering -- a primary mission of Part II of the RPG will be to ressurect your character, correct?-
Well, I would hope so. RPG wouldn't be the same without Doc.
-TD: So what happens to the muse form of him at that time? Will he continue on being a ghost?-
-VD2: *raises eyebrow* Actually, that's a rather interesting question. The rest of us can't be "cured," so to speak, but RPD's form is essentially in flux. What DOES happen once the RPG restores your Doc character to life?-
I've been thinking about it. He MIGHT go coporeal, but it's not a given.
-VD: *looks at RPD* Would you like to be coporeal again?-
-RPD: . . . To tell the truth, there are certain advantages to being a ghost. I really don't miss eating or sleeping that much, and I can still interact with the rest of the world. And it's nice not to have to bother with doors.-
-TD: Hmmmmm-
-H,E,VDM: DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT.-
-TD: Great Scott, I didn't even say anything yet!-
-VDM: We know you too well.-
-RPD: Yes, the actual death process isn't much fun. But being coporeal again might be nice. Heh, I'd kind of like to be able to switch it on and off--
Confirmation of idea. Congratulations -- once we revive you in the RPG, you'll be able to switch forms at will.
-RPD: O.O-
-TD: Oh, then--
-E: NO!-
Seriously, TeenDoc, don't kill yourself. The only reason I had RPD kill himself was because I was certain he was going to be ressurrected by the following morning. Seeing you do it, even if I knew you could be revived and you were only doing it for Science -- *sniff*
-TD: *guilty* You're right. I'm sorry.-
-H: *hugs* Look, we know you get crazy ideas. That's why you need us, to keep you from acting on a few of them.-
Precisely. I love your Spark, but sometimes it gets a tad out of hand.
-TD: I've been going to bed regularly, I swear on the DeLorean.-
:) *hugs* Just stay safe kid.
-RPD: And if you REALLY must know what it's like, you can question me until the cows come home.-
revison_doc update -- just the usual short one about Kat and Mark. Thank God for having three "boring" families I can default to on Wednesdays.
-J: I somewhat resent my parents being lumped into that category.-
Well, your parents don't do much, sad to say. You're the one I'm focusing on.
-J2: We know, we know.-
Also got into Eureka and finished the last main community lot, RPG Foods. Next up is making some lots for the college, then for Downtown and the Shopping District.
-DW: Is the Shopping District really necessary?-
I know it seems like a wasted subhood, but wait until the families start having kids. I'm planning, like in Twin Oaks Park a bit, to send non-heirs off to the subhoods and such. I hope to eventually have some healthy businesses going down there. In the meantime, I'll stick in a restaurant and a clothing shop.
Anyway, pictures of RPG Foods:

Top view -- I made the shop vaguely hexagonal, and went with a medevial theme for the place. You can see there's a barbeque area outside. I also left some of the land "rumpled" to give it a bit of interest.

Room one, which is the actual grocery. Nothing too fancy -- fridges, produce, and the bathrooms. However, since it's called RPG Foods. . . .

. . .I figured it should have a games room! So Sims who come here can not only pick up groceries, but indulge in a bit of poker and pool.
-M2: Hey, that's pretty neat.-
Thanks. I also took some close-ups of the fridges:

Muy Lifelike, no? Some of that stuff looks good enough to eat.
Now, this next shot needs a bit of explanation. You see, TheSims2.com put up some trivia a little while ago, and one of the facts mentioned the Freezer Bunny, who was appearing on all sorts of clothes nowadays. I was confused as to why this little crazy rabbit was called the Freezer Bunny. . .

Until I spotted him in there. :D
-RPD: So when do you make the families?-
Soon. I've got all the clothes downloaded at last, yay. And I picked up a nice Tesla coil from MTS2.com. Gonna see if I can find some other appropriately labby stuff -- maybe pick up some potions.
-TD: Flasks. We all need flasks. And things that spark.-
Yes, I know exactly who to turn to for all my Mad Scientist needs. Found some wallpapers, but I'm iffy -- comments mentioned a lack of EP-readiness. Best to be a bit wary.
-VD: Wallpapers? Can't you get actual machines?-
Probably can, just have to look for them. Mad Scientist doesn't bring up what it used to on MTS2.
Okay, off to do a bit of editing, then I'm off.
