Images For You!
Jan. 5th, 2008 11:02 pmTook pictures today of some of the minis in my life. Didn't get any of the Corpse Bride family, but that's only because we couldn't get the camera batteries to work and I didn't feel like hauling them downstairs. Maybe another time.
-TTV: I'm just glad they're only holding hands now and not engaged in other activity.-
I still have to figure out how to engage them in "other activity." Remember, only your figure has bendable knees.
-TTV: *keeps a wary eye on me*-
-VD: *scowl*-
I'm writing! I swear! Look! Progress!
-VD: *looks* I don't -- *blinks* Oh, wait, I do.-
-VD2: Finally, huh?-
Yeah. And before you say anything, Sunday still counts as the weekend. Even late Sunday.
-VD: Just keep it up.-
I should be able to, I'm a lot closer to the end now.
-TD: *holds up the sharp poking stick* And if worse comes to worst--
I'm writing!
Aaanway, picture time! First up, the mini!Doc!Einy I won on eBay.
( Japan Gets All The Best Stuff )
And the MiniMates/Kubricks.
( Minifigures Are Awesome )
Of course, now they're all getting along okay (sort of) -- Jennifer and Lorraine are rocking out, the Biffs are still arguing, the Martys are having a skateboard race, and the Docs are talking time travel science. Oh, and Einy is sniffing the disembodied head.
-D: *rolls eyes*-
Well, I gotta do something with it. Of course, now the Enchantment Under the Sea 2-Packs are out -- Enchantment Marty and Lorraine, and Enchantment George with a 50s Marty.
-DW: I assume they're next on your acquire list.-
Yeah, I'll probably end up getting them all and getting very confused on where to put them. However, you know what I've noticed about the whole thing? Currently, if you were to purchase all the Minimate packs, you'd get EIGHT Martys.
-M: Wha?-
I'm serious:
First 4-Pack -- 1985 Marty (with 1955 Lorraine, Biff, and Doc)
First 2-Pack -- Enchantment Marty (with Enchantment Lorraine)
Second 2-Pack -- 1955 Marty (with Enchantment George)
Second 4-Pack -- 2015 Marty, 1955 Disguised Marty (with 1985-A Biff and 2015 Doc)
Third 2-Pack -- 1985-A Marty (with 2015 Biff)
Third 4-Pack -- 1885 Marty, 1985 Marty again, without his jacket and vest (with 1885 Doc, 1885 Buford (redundant, yes))
Count them up, eight Martys. Including one COMPLETELY FRICKING RANDOM one in the Western set. I'm serious -- a 1985 Marty with the Western cast. He is known as Clueless Marty. Probably because he's clueless about why he's with the Western characters. Or why he even EXISTS -- we HAVE a 1985 Marty! Giving him a sculpted shirt sans his jean jacket and "life preserver" doesn't make him all that new! And you'll notice this means the only female character that got a minimate is Lorraine. Come on, the Kubricks were nice enough to do Jennifer! Wrong, admittedly. . . .
-HD: Outrage! Where's my Clarabelle?-
-M2: Yeah, where the hell is Jennifer?-
-J2: I don't care if I end up mysteriously blond again, I just want to be a part of this!-
I suppose we can hope for a girl-only 2-Pack, but I doubt it. Of course, the really creepy bit is that the only Martymate that's really smiling is the Enchantment one. Dude, you're a little too happy about being on a date with your Mom.
-M: Minifigs are freaking weird.-
Yeah, I know. Did you know they're doing that series 24 in Minimates? Jack Bauer as a minifig just seems -- wrong.
Anyway, I'd better keep writing -- I got backups to make tomorrow, plus Alice to play and, if I remember, Sims to mess around with.
-RPD: Bah, you've said that so often, it's lost all meaning.-
*hangs head in shame*
-TD: Just be grateful you don't seem to have the problems Moose and Ael do with their computers.-
Well, I can't exactly drop a desktop. Though mine's evil in its own special way. So I'd better get going and saving and all that jazz.
-VD: Yes, let's try and avoid any potential foreshadowing here.-
-TTV: I'm just glad they're only holding hands now and not engaged in other activity.-
