Ask, And Ye Shall Recieve
Apr. 13th, 2008 09:38 pmChapter 6 of "The Gift and the Curse" is up
-OD: *tentacles hug* At last!-
-VD: I'm up next after vacation, correct?-
Yep. I'll probably start typing up something then too -- what, I'm not sure, but something.
-D: Isn't "Past Amnesia" due to go up?-
Hmm, true. Though I'm tempted to mix things up and start with "Corpse Mask." Give Victor something to do again.
-VD2: Nothing says you can't do both.-
Heh, good point. Anyway, that's all in the future. Right now, there's only one more full day to go before I take off for Florida.
-TD: Sunscreen formula is all ready!-
-TTV: *nervous*-
-VD: We tested it -- it's fine. Might actually keep you from getting burned.-
-TTV: Still. . . .-
Victor, you can't really wear your full suitcoat and everything down there. You'll probably be too hot.
-VDM: Yeah, loosen up!-
-TTV: That's easy for you to say. Your Victorian period is filled with mad scientists. No one complains if you go out in just a vest and shirtsleeves.-
No more of this repression shit, Victor. You're one of US now.
-VuM: Yeah, dude, live a little. I mean, are you only technically two years older than us?-
-TTV: *fiddles with tie* Yes, but --
*ruffles hair* Just think, what would Stanley Ipkiss do?
-TTV: *small grin* Thanks for watching the movie again.-
Hey, my pleasure. I had a commentary I hadn't heard before -- why not?
-VD2: Get anything else done today? I noticed you got sidetracked yesterday with a familiar topic.-
Darn addictive BTTF RPG. I really do miss that thing.
-RPD: Me too. I miss Marty.-
:( I really wish I could take him on, but -- he is Shandy's. . . .
-RPD: I know, I know. It's not like I can't visit him either, but still.-
-HD: *frowns* How does this Shandy person treat his Marty?-
I wouldn't know. The guy's been offline for ages, it feels like. I don't know if he even subscribes to the muse system.
-HD: Then why NOT take Marty? I thought we came as a matched set to you! Like towels!-
Heh, I know, but it felt wrong, taking someone else's character. And god knows we already have enough submuses.
-DW: If he's determined to show up again, that won't stop him from coming. You know that all too well.-
-MF+VDM: *grin*-
This is true. I guess I'm just glad no one ever took over Clara's role.
-RPD: *faintly smarmy grin* Me too.-
Aaanyway, didn't do much today. Average lazy Sunday, for the most part. Watched "The Mask," like I said, and did some pictures of my new BTTF shirt -- a homemade 'filmstrip' style one:

Nice, huh?
-MHG: Frabujous!-
Yeah. Then I discovered a black line on the pack while packing it. Mom scrubbed it out with a little dish liquid, but then it bled through onto the other side, making the ink run, then once THAT was cleaned up, we discovered ANOTHER little stain -- long story short, it's finally clean and wrapped in tissue paper to prevent further marks. I also have no idea how we're going to wash it.
-TD: Want me to help?-
If you can figure out a way to properly lock in the color, sure.
I also have some more pics of the rest of my BTTF collection -- the stuff that doesn't regularly sit on the shelves:
An old Ride hat I picked up on eBay a few years ago. As you can see, it's the DeLorean. The lights on the front, back, and on top of "Mr. Fusion" should light up -- we just never replaced the batteries.
A keychain I got from the ride. DeLorean through the clock -- standard motif.
My pocketwatch, open and closed. A sort of brushed silvery finish, with a clock-tower-like face inside. Ignore the time, I have yet to figure out how to set it. The instructions ARE in Japanese, after all.
I think this baseball cap was my first BTTF souvienir, seeing as it's a Ride cap and that's how I was introduced to BTTF. At any rate, I've had it for a while. Kinda faded now, so I save it for special occasions. I also have a BTTF.com cap I wear more often.
More Japanese weirdness -- here's the "Doc plush" I bought on eBay that we think may be a Kleenex box cover. Cute, of course, but still odd. However, he might be my only plushie capable of coming to Florida with me in my carryon. (Air travel is MONDO restrictive now.)
And finally, my beloved Japanese Ride wristwatch. Analog AND digital, with a "day of the week" display and features such as a stopwatch and a date function. Very nice, overall. :D And much sturdier than my old Ride watches.
-VD: Speaking of which, how is the digital camera holding up?-
Just fine, tanku. Experimenting with different pic sizes so they're not all huge. I might want to clean the lens a bit, but other than that, we're good to go for Florida.
-D: How about you in general? All packed?-
Pretty much so -- just gotta add my notebooks, reading material, camera, and flip-flops. Oh, and my white production jacket so I can hopefully get it signed. :D
-DW: This is it, then. We're going.-
Yeah.
OH MY FUCKING GOD I'M GOING TO FLORIDA TO MEET CHRISTOPHER LLOYD EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
-TTV: O.O-
-M: Just imagine it being like you going to meet Jim Carrey.-
-TTV: Hey!-
