Watched "Roger Rabbit"
Aug. 30th, 2008 11:26 pmAs good as I remembered. Judge Doom is still freaky once his eyes go animated. Though I suppose that's the point. . . .
-TTV: *grumblemutter* Murderer. . . .-
Excuse him, he took the Dip death of that squeaky shoe hard.
-TTV: Not that the humans he killed meant nothing, but -- what did that shoe do to him?!-
-MHG: Victor Van Dort, patron of cartoon rights.-
I like that!
-TTV: Make fun of me all you want, it's just -- a world in which toons live among people -- that's my heaven.-
*ruffles hair* Yeah, I know. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
-TTV: *grin* Me too. The special features were interesting too. Wish we'd gotten farther in that game.-
Yeah -- unfortunately, I kinda suck at manipulating the remote. Maybe we can look for tips on the web. The rest of the special features were pretty cool, though. Weirdest bit was hearing Bob Hoskins talk out of character. He's BRITISH. Sounds COMPLETELY different. Talk about doing a good accent.
-HD: Ah, the grand tradition of pretending to be what you aren't. I love acting.-
Hehe.
Basically just hung out the rest of the day. Got a page on "Corpse Mask," getting the drabbles88 and Chapter 12 of "V.D." ready to go. Not much happening in the Rift, though Clockwork got a little more threading. Also responded to a question in the Nexus.
-RPD: Still looking for that PINpoint documentation?-
Yeah, think I might have to ask on the OOC com. Might have him ask another question soon too. Gotta think of what to ask. . . .
-DW: This isn't the one where he --
Not yet. I'll make that his third official appearance.
-MF: Bet he'll love that.-
-D: You really are evil.-
I'll balance it out eventually. I don't plan to throw shit at him forever, really.
I also popped into Sims, though I didn't really play. More of a Lot Raid.
-RPM: A. . . ?-
Visited Bluewater Village and copied some lots into the Lot Bin for placement in other hoods -- mainly Arcanum, though I could drop some in Eureka and Twin Oaks Park too. Also grabbed copies of a Eureka house and the Inkwell bar.
-VD: *nodnod* Very thorough.-
Yup. I also started work on one new lot, on Riverblossom's Twikki Island. I've been meaning to make a beach weddings lot for Twin Oaks Park's Marty and Jennifer's future nuptials, and I figured, what the hell? No pictures yet, but I set up the arch, some chairs, and a bath house. There will also be a food stand along with wine and cake.
-OD: *Verne* Sounds like a party to me. In a lot-building mood lately?-
Eh, sort of. I like doing it, but I think the Lot Raid proves I like having plenty of prebuilt stuff on hand too.
-VD2: What did you get, anyway?-
A couple of houses, the Inkwell, a park, and three empty shops. Two of the latter are TINY little things. I want my Sims to run them just for the lulz.
-TD: Selling what?-
I dunno. Items. People like items.
-J: Isn't that a Dilbert quote?-
Doesn't mean it doesn't hold true.
Anyway, I might as well go looking for those game tips. Tomorrow, we watch "Clue!"
-VD2: Or, rather, we try to watch "Clue" while you giggle every time Chris Lloyd and Tim Curry are on-screen together.-
*blush*
