crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (Default)
1. The kid in the corner when you first enter the Skool library has a number of creepy animations, including a) acting like a chicken, b) acting like another animal I couldn't quite figure out, c) hitting himself with his own fist.

2. There's a secret panel in the Skool auditorium that you can depress, that gives you a Darkened Looking Glass (the invisibility powerup) in the library. I always though that the Mirror never had an explanatory voiceclip, but if you find that hidden one, Cheshire tells you, "What they don't see, they don't want to hear. You'll do better if you become corporeal." It's neat (even if I squandered mine with a badly-timed jump off the corkscrew elevator).

3. Later, when you're exploring the Grayds, 3rd Grayd has a room that's actually supposed to be a classroom. It has those chairs with attached desks, and the desk in the raised area has a wormy apple on it. XD

4. You can jump up on the little ledge in the conservatory/garden room and run around on it. Not much, but it's fun.

5. When you re-enter the lobby of the Skool, the auditorium doors don't actually lock. You can go in and poke around if you want. You don't get a second chance to get the looking glass, though -- the panel's an ordinary panel this time around.

7. There's a secret cave behind the waterfall on the second level of ledges. It's hard to access, but there's a heart meta-essence on a little stand in there if you can get in.

8. That damn fish in Wholly Morel Ground (the large one hiding in the pit) will come up multiple times. I got a bite taken out of me because I didn't move past it fast enough (I'd forgotten exactly where it was).

9. This one's more of a complaint -- why is it that, in the Vale of Tears, if I'm underwater with snarks, I can use any weapon I have on me, but once I hit Wonderland Woods and get the turtle shell, I'm suddenly permanently limited to the Vorpal Blade underwater? It's just annoying, especially in the water level where your only enemy are swarms of Snarks. (I HATE those fish).

More shall be revealed later -- I'm up to Herbaceous Border in the game. Not one of my favorite levels, honestly, if only because it's damn near IMPOSSIBLE to see where you're going. It's all so BROWN.
