crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (feeling sparky/creative)
First, I finally got around to making a new video showing off some of my toys: Here Be Dragons - And BusterMates You guys have probably already seen all of this through my pictures, but if you want to hear my prattlings, you're welcome to them. Also it's a chance to hear what my Tap & Roar Dragons sound like.

In other news, I've spent a little time over at the [livejournal.com profile] steamfashion community today, and I've been thinking about Secundus again, and what the characters will be wearing. As I don't have much else to report on (besides starting another playthrough of American McGee's Alice), I'll babble on a bit about what the characters will be wearing here.
-->Doc's going to appear at least once in the suit he wore at the end of BTTF III. For more casual wear, I'm thinking maybe a variation of the suit he wears to the dance in III, and variations on his blacksmith clothes for the shop.

-->Marty's cowboy stuff will have to wait for the potential sequel. I'm probably going to do like I did in "Boy Genius" and Victorianize his 80s clothes. Dark blue suit, red vest, you know how it goes. Might look at some of his 50s stuff too (and if I can get away with it, his 2015 stuff.)

-->Victor I've pretty much got figured out. He starts off the story in the suit we all remember from the movie, then moves on to a "hero" outfit: Black goggles, black suit, white shirt, yellow vest, green tie, black tattered overcoat, black fingerless gloves. (Not a lot of color, I know, but I'm thinking black/dark grey/navy blue with pops of color probably looks best with that ultra-pale complexion of his.) Everything else he wears is a variation on the "hero" outfit.

-->Alice is a little more complex. She's got her iconic blue dress and apron, of course, but I want to put her in a purple dress at some point. She's also going to have a variety of belts and bandoleers for holding stuff. The simplest has a sheath for her knife and not much else; the most complicated holds all the weapons she owns. (Current count: Vorpal Blade, Razor Cards, Croquet Mallet, Jackbomb, Ice Wand. She may or may not get the Blunderbuss over the course of the story, and I'm figuring out the other weapons.)

-->The secondary characters appear in pretty much familiar outfits, Victorianized when necessary. For example -- Victoria Everglot will be in her red striped dress, while Flint Lockwood will have a Victorian suit covered by his favorite lab coat.

So yeah, I apparently care about clothing. But only when it's Victorian in nature. I'd say I was born into the wrong century fashion-wise, except I still prefer bras to corsets. (TMI?)
