Download-aholic
Aug. 29th, 2010 11:34 pmNo, I didn't play Sims today, despite having a new EP. You know why? Because I spent the entire time on Chester updating my hacks. Ye GODS, I'd forgotten how much custom content I have. (And that wasn't even LOOKING at the mess that is my clothing folder. I don't think I can download any more outfits. Especially not Victorian ones.)
-VD2: How many hacks did you need to update?-
A good number -- I had to hunt down all the critical fixes and stuff, since EA can be a bit of a bastard about that. Luckily I got some help for the MATY ones -- I downloaded the Director's Cut for AL, found the manual for it that someone had written up, and got rid of all hacks I didn't like/care about. Going to update my TwoJeffs and DJS hacks was a little harder, mostly because I kept picking up new stuff. I also updated/picked up stuff from MTS, which included steampunk recolors of most of the robots and such. I think I need to put a moratorium on me downloading anything for a while. Except for anything that could stand in for Victor's hair, of course. And that skintone I found. And I still want steampunk Servos 0H GOD SOMEONE STOP ME.
-RPD: *pats back* Breathe, girl.-
-D: I thought you found steampunk Servos.-
I found a wooden-skin version. Which, admittedly, looks nice, but part of me still wants one that looks brassy. And like a Servo -- there's replacements that make 'em look like regular Sims, but I LIKE the Servos.
Anyway -- not much else to report. Off tomorrow to buy my books at some point, which should be fun. At least I don't have to get that many. . . . And Wednesday or Thursday I'm heading back up to the mall. Need to get out and about again.
-VD: And you will come home broke due to spending all your money on Minimates.-
Not bloody likely -- Diamond Select has pushed back the street date for the Minimate DeLorean AGAIN. What the hell is going on there?! Then again, this is the same company that's releasing a 25th anniversary box set that a) includes Mr. Strickland, for some reason and b) comes out in 2011. Anyone else see what's wrong with this picture?
-TD: And yet, you continue to buy their stuff.-
. . .I like Minimates. . . .
Aanyway, off to TV Tropes land. My brain needs a bit of a break.
