Happy BTTF Days!
Sep. 2nd, 2010 10:04 pmAnd so our usual excursion into the months of BTTF has begun! Today, September 2nd, Marty McFly arrived in the past to rescue his best friend, Dr. Emmett Brown, from a terrible fate. His rescue got off to a -- rather bumpy start, let's say.
-M: As in, drove straight into charging Indians, had to hide from them and the cavalry, ripped the fuel line on the DeLorean, got chased by a bear, fell down a really steep hill, and smashed his head on a fence.-
-VuM: You're forgetting woke up in relative's house and got peed on by own great-grandfather.-
Like I said, rather bumpy start. . . .
In less BTTF-related news, I continue to fiddle around with my Sims. Today's project was remaking the OFB micro mall for Inkwell Secundus. I filled up all the shelves in the toy, flower, and electronics (well, robotics, but same idea) store, added some kiosks and vending machines, turned the empty store in the back into a coffee shop, and redid the food court with the latest food stand. I don't know which one added it, FreeTime or Apartment Life, but there's a stand now that sells hot dogs and gyros and such. Instant I saw it, I knew it had to be in the mall. I also put a copy of the Inkwell Bar in there (natch), and a couple of tiny "just starting out" shops for later purchase. I also set up a community beach lot, so I'll have to put stuff on there later.
-OD: *tentacles cheep* We're a little surprised -- we thought you were going to play a family.-
I did too, but when I got over to Twin Oaks Park to play one, I realized that I really should play the Von Brauns (Emmett, Gypsy, and co) first, and they generally take up tons of time even on a boring day, so. . . . Maybe tomorrow.
-RPD: Did you decide how you're going to handle updates?-
Somewhat -- I'm definitely not going to be checking in with the Parkers or the Robinsons much anymore, since they don't do much. I'll probably think of more once I start playing seriously again.
And now, a meme I saw on
darkjediprinces's journal which intrigued me a bit:
Give me a character from any fandom I know at least fairly well, and I will tell you:
A) My OTP
B) The runner up
C) The anti-ship
D) My unpopular fannish opinion on said character
E) One person he/she never fell in love with, and why
I'll try to keep my ships in the same canon, but I'll mention crossover couples if they come up.
And now, to write. Been slacking off on that at the moment. . . .
