Both Productive and Non-Productive Today
Jan. 20th, 2011 11:56 pmProductive at getting ready for school -- got all my textbooks, plus some half-price bus tickets so I can take ten free rides and thus avoid having to deal with feeding dollar bills into the slot. Not so productive at writing -- not only did I get sucked into reading TV Tropes, I also had to struggle with today's prompt in
charloft. Basically, you got a random number from a generator, matched it up to a country on a list, researched the culture some, and then had your character interact with the culture in some way. Both Lucy and Victor got African countries (right next to each other too, oddly enough). Lucy's prompt with the Ivory Coast wasn't so bad, but I really had to wrestle with how to get Victor to interact with anything from Burkina Faso (called Upper Volta in his time period -- back in the late 1800s, it was a French colony). I finally managed something with an immigrant looking for work at Narbonic Labs. Burkina Faso is an extremely poor country, and they have a lot of workers who go to other countries, so it seemed the most logical.
I also think I'm having some PMS flare-ups or something. It is getting close to the time when the red curse should make a reappearance. (First week of school -- figures, right?)
I also keep thinking it's Friday for some reason (although I guess it will be in a moment). Come on, brain, remember you have an extra day off.
