-Muses: *startled*-
-TD: What is it? Did you get another week of vacation?-
-VD2: Has the "Borders has filed bankruptcy" news been confirmed a myth?-
-HD: Is there tea and scones to be had?-
I finally won the last set of Corpse Bride minifigures on eBay!
-TTV: Oh, the one with Emily and Bonejangles?-
Yup! The Land of the Dead set! I saw an auction for one for cheap, put on a bid, and just about a hour ago, I won! :DDD
-VD: Congratulations! Now you have to find the room for them.-
Oh, I'll find the room. I'll stack my stray books on the last display shelf differently if I have to. And there's still plenty of empty space on the top shelf I can use if I wish.
-OD: *Tommy* You're getting all sorts of cool new stuff lately! I don't think she quite counts her textbooks as part of that category.-
*giggle* Not really, no. I did get some new books today -- as VampDoc2 mentioned, apparently Borders has filed for bankruptcy, making me nervous that my Borders gift cards may become worthless. So Dad took me up to the Waldenbooks in the little minimall we have up here today. Turns out they've been going out of business for a while and were picked pretty clean, but I did snag two things:
-->New Dilbert book (hey, I like the strip)
-->Romeo & Juliet & Vampires -- yes, this trend now extends to Shakespeare's plays. The action's been moved to Transylvania, and the Capulets are now a vampire clan, with the Montague's Van Helsing types. I read the first chapter, and found myself intrigued and amused enough to buy it.
This only took $11.75 off one of my cards, though -- they were having a "whole store 50% off sale" because of the end. I'll have to use up the rest of them the next time I hit Providence place in February.
-D: What are you planning to buy?-
If I can, the new Girl Genius novel. Then probably another book of Terry's (currently reading Soul Music -- I am intrigued by all the shenanigans afoot), and maybe I'll see if there's anything in the DVD section I want. I AM planning on getting the rest of my favorite Mel Brooks's movies. Specifically Silent Movie and History of the World Part I.
-RPD: Sounds like a plan. Speaking of which. . . .-
Yeah, I know, I know. I did just get off two monster threads with Marty and Lucy. I'll be posting with Dee soon, don't worry about that.
-RPD: Good to hear. And maybe a -- *sudden horrified look* Am I actually REQUESTING you to give
deadgirlsliekme NIGHTMARES? AFTER seeing that insomnia list

charloft and knowing it applies to him too, most likely?!-
-TTV: *attempting to sound serious, but we know he's teasing* And me.-
Shaaaame, RPD. Shame, shame. . . .
-RPD: Ugh. You -- I really don't--
I know, sweetie. And I promise you, this won't affect him back at the Inkwell. The King is NOT allowed in there for any reason. I had to give him that much.
-RPM: Plus he'd probably freak the hell out of Butterfly Boy too.-
This is also true.
-DW: How are the prompts coming, as we already know you're not working on anything else?-
This IS a contest, you know. :p And pretty well -- I'm working on the prompts I'll need for my third double bingo. And marveling over the fact that I managed to get "lawn ornament" as a prompt on all THREE of my cards.
-WRM: Have to love pseudo-randomness, randomness's stinky cousin!-
*laugh* Yeah, we do.
Okay, time to celebrate my victory in eBay with more American McGee's Alice Let's Plays!
