crossover_chick: gif with Doc and Marty trying to get out of being written into twisted AUs (exhausted)
Wrote up the thread where Alice breaks up with Victor for (what she feels is) his own good. I nearly ended up crying myself once or twice. Ye Gods. . . .
-HD: *noooo sympathy*-
Yeah, I know, I brought it on myself. I just -- God, I didn't think it would be this painful. I may have to abstain from horrible plots with these two after this is over. *loves her OTP way too much*
-RPD: Well, just remember, this leads to Victor defeating the King.-
And Marty finally moving in with Doc and the rest.
-RPM: Wha?-
Marty's so horrified that he learned about this major shit going down with his best friends second-hand that he decides, that does it, I'm going to be there for them when they need me. Sort of the opposite of Alice's reaction.
-VD: Well, I'm sure none of us are going to object to that. And then someone smacks some sense into Alice, right?-
She's gonna make a Nexus post about it, so yes, hopefully someone will. Victor may do the honors himself if no one else does -- he loves her, and he won't let her go. Which doesn't do much to mitigate the awful today, but. . . .
-D: *patpat*-
It doesn't help that today's [livejournal.com profile] charloft drabble prompt was "hatred," meaning we have angsty Butterfly Boy and angsty Lucy.
-VD2: Great Scott, why is it all hitting at once?-
I don't know! At least most of the afternoon was taken up with nice valentiney stuff.
Okay then -- tomorrow I'll get a go on what happens next in this horrible "Return of the King" plot. Marty's gotta get involved at some point. Can't have any characters free of the angst!
-TD: Except Simon -- didn't you have a happy post planned for him?-
Yeah, but he'll have to wait a bit. Let's get all the horrible over with first.

Well, there's something coming up at 10 to cheer me up -- the BTTF Ace of Cakes episode! (Hence the early post.)

1. Huh, the show's only a half-hour? I'm used to cake-based shows being a full hour.

2. Decent enough DeLorean cake, though I think my favorite BTTF cake is still the Town Square wedding cake.

3. On that note, was it me, or did it not have much actual cake in it? The hood was edible, and apparently a chunk in the back was, but the rest was all wood and plexiglass and stuff like that. Okay, I understand these sorts of cakes need structure (see it all the time on other cake challenges), but -- I dunno. It's just slightly depressing that most of it's not edible.

4. . . . I really wasn't sure what to make of the staff being all weird to Duff, but maybe you need to be a fan of the show, so we'll let that slide.
