All Quiet on the RP Front
Mar. 20th, 2011 11:49 pmWhich leaves me wondering if notifs are back or not. I've been getting the occasional old one today, but no new comments, so I is unsure. *shrug*
Honestly, it was a bit of a quiet day overall. My parents did suggest we go up to Warwick to visit Barnes & Noble and the Newbury there, but that got scrapped because our truck was acting iffy in the clutch. I'm not broken up over it simply because I'm going to the mall on Wednesday and thus haven't missed out on much. Mostly I hung around here, did a little writing (trying to get that date of Alice and Victor's wrapped up in "Secundus" -- though it IS fun writing Flint Lockwood in the Secundus version of The Roofless), and some Sim designing. Made a Nell Van Dort in Bodyshop that got tweaked further in CAS when I made the Steampunk Gulch Van Dorts.
Actually, I've been holding off on another EVL update since I don't have a lot of pictures for it, but hey, it's a boring day, so why not?
( Some EVL goodness, and the two fandom families )
So yeah, that's the deal with Steampunk Gulch. EVL will probably have his girlfriend over so he can get her to make him a wizard at some point in the future. The fandom families shall stay in the bin until I've gotten my two Rank 10 businesses. This will hopefully keep me on track with my initial goal for Steampunk Gulch.
-RPD: One can only hope. No Doc and Marty Sims, though?-
Don't tempt me. Though in that case, it would be a Doc and Marty Brown situation.
-TD: Interesting!-
I said don't tempt me!
On the subject of videogames, incidentally, I've been trying to figure out when "Alice: Madness Returns" is set. I've been hearing from various sources that it's supposed to be 10 years after the first game, but that doesn't add up.
-M: Why not?-
Because of this. It's the two halves of a letter that were given out as a prize for getting a certain number of followers on Twitter and Facebook, respectively. This guy kindly put them together. I know the cursive's hard to read, but you should be able to tell the letter's dated November 10th, 1874.
The last entry in the first game's casebook is dated August 24th, 1874.
Couple that with American mentioning in an interview that their London is based off pictures of London in 1875, and methinks the sequel takes place not that long after the original game, story-wise. Not that I'm complaining, I just thought it was interesting.
-VD: You're really getting into this new game, aren't you?-
I'm just eager to see more of it, and hopefully get a demo. Besides, with "Madness Returns," at least I have a release date to obsess over. I have no idea when "First Citizen Brown" is coming out from Telltale. And DAMN do I want to play that episode! *impatient*
-D: You really need a distraction.-
Why do you think I was playing so much computer Mahjong today??
And now that I've babbled on about videogames, I think I might see if I want to upload another icon or two to
8butterflyboy8's account. He just has so many funny faces. . . .
