No Alice Today :(

Mostly because we're taking the laptop up to Best Buy for repairs tomorrow. I spoke with one of their GeekSquad guys over the phone today, and he agreed with me that it sounds like I've got some sort of overheating issue. Computer's been working fine today, but then again I've only run Firefox and WordPerfect along with my chat programs. (And Kaspersky in the background, I guess, but no active scans.) Stupid failing laptop. . .on the plus side, since Chester's less than a year old (it'll be a year in August), he should still be under the manufacturer warranty. Hooray.

Anyway, didn't get up to much today as a consequence. Wandered around the web, spent way too much time reading up on the Portal pages on TV Tropes. Also posted a bunch more of charloft's 100 Drabbles of Summer. Here's Butterfly Boy's comment in the comm with the list. I'm up to 36!

All right, I gotta get moving -- we're taking the 9:07 bus up to Warwick, so I gotta be up by eight. Just have to get some backups made first of the important files. . . .

EDIT 6/29: Our cable went out just as I was posting this, so I was certain this hadn't gone through. I guess it sneaked in right before the deadline and I just couldn't see. :p
