Man, it felt good to go on a trip for fun again. I'd missed the mall. Highlights from my day:
-->Got off the bus in the middle of a long section in Jingo, lurked by a building corner to finish reading it. (This book features Nobby in DRAG. It is fantastic. XD)
-->Borders is still present in the mall, but in the midst of a massive "going out of business" sale. I looked around, but nothing caught my fancy.
-->My only real purchases (as in, things I could take home) were at Newbury's, natch: a pin that reads "Deeply and Creatively Weird" and, of all things, the soundtrack to Corpse Bride. I couldn't believe they actually had it.
-->The Subway there had a new sandwich -- oven crisp chicken breast. It's basically the same as their oven roasted one, only with a breadcrumb coat. Still tasty, though.
-->Majority of the day was spent at Dave & Buster's. Played Guitar Hero on Beginner -- ALMOST got a perfect score on Pat Bentar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot." I also went ahead and tried a game called "Fruit Ninja." It's a touchscreen game -- you use your hands as blades to slice fruit while avoiding bombs. It's actually REALLY fun -- I won a ton of tickets on it. :D
-->Treat of the day: mini Chocolate X-Treme Blizzard from Dairy Queen. Om nom nom.
-->Came home, caught up, watched the end of Burning Dog Face's AMA Let's Play. Poor guy, he sounded absolutely stunned by the death of Cheshire. Brightened right up at the happy ending, though. I'm now watching his Let's Play of A:MR, which already promises to be amusing.
-->Also played a bit of Alice myself -- and noticed something about the logo screens. The backgrounds to both happen to be covered in the Insane Children's shrink sense graffiti! Unfortunately, in actual play, I made a wrong turn and missed a bottle I got before. >.< Ah well, I missed one in the Vale of Tears too -- I'll look for 'em on a replay.
So yeah, that's basically my day. Can't complain. :) Oh, and also, the
charloft prompt today is great. Here's Butterfly Boy's post and Lucy's. I definitely think I'll be playing around with that. :D
