Festival Time!
Sep. 5th, 2011 10:04 pmThe day of the Hill Valley Town Festival! Highlights include:
-->One of Doc's "not to scale" models
-->Clara and Doc flirting over a nice telescope
-->Doc and Marty deciding they can risk being seen in the archives for a fairly awesome picture
-->Learning the Doc can dance (even if he's shit at asking someone to dance
-->Learning Marty's a crack shot thanks to 7-11
-->Buford Tannen ruining things for everybody
-->Marty still not getting over his "chicken" problem
-->Buford Tannen needing a day planner
-->Discovering Seamus McFly had a brother, Martin, who acted a lot like Marty -- and ended up dead
-->Doc and Clara getting kissy over lunar geography and Jules Verne
I watched Part III this morning and worked on "There's Always Tomorrow" in honor of the occasion. Ahh, BTTFy goodness.
-D: Indeed. Still played Alice though, I noticed.-
Yeah, though the weirdest thing happened. I went to load up my game, when suddenly the screen went black. I thought, "Oh shit, not AGAIN," but then I noticed the power light hadn't gone out -- and then I found myself back on the desktop. With no mouse. I tried hitting Ctrl-Alt-Delete -- no dice. My computer wasn't frozen, the clock was still ticking away, but it wasn't doing anything. I was wondering if I should try and call up the menu when suddenly the game loaded back up, with Alice in shrink mode because I'd hit Ctrl. Baffled, I went ahead and played. Worked fine, got more collectibles, everything saved properly, computer is working fine now. So -- WTF?
-VD2: I really couldn't tell you. Perhaps your antivirus or firewall got a little pissy?-
Maybe. We'll see if it happens again tomorrow, and then go investigating. If it was just a one-time glitch, I won't worry more about it.
Anyway, nothing else of major interest to report. I gotta do Lucy's half of today's
charloft prompt, then get ready for bed.
-Muses: O.O??-
Well, I gotta start getting up at 7 again, so I figured I'd get a head start and get the worst of the sleep deprivation out of the way tomorrow.
-VD: Oh. Good idea.-
Yeah. So yeah, laters!
