A Learning Experience
Sep. 4th, 2011 10:04 pmAnother day, another adventure for Marty and Doc. Things they discover today:
-->Chester's moonshine is capable of blowing a fuel injection manifold
-->When Doc gets sciencey, he tends to forget about getting shot on Monday
-->A locomotive just might be able to do 90 under the right conditions
-->Clayton Ravine was once called Shonash Ravine
-->Marty struggles with thinking fourth-dimensionally
-->There IS such a thing as love at first sight (though saving the woman's life right beforehand undoubtedly helps)
-->Doc is rather cute when he's crushing on someone
-->It is all too easy to screw up the space-time continuum (aka Clara was SUPPOSED to go over the edge)
So yes, productive overall.
-VD: If annoying for our two protagonists.-
Happy times is for ultra-short fanfiction. For anything longer, you tend to need plot.
Not much else to report for today. Parents went out mattress shopping, so I had the house to myself for a while. Spent most of it lazing around on the web. Been one of those days where it's all too easy to get distracted, ya know? Did do a little writing, though, and I'm working to keep up with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
charloft prompts and such.
-VM: A little sad about school starting so soon?-
Eh, maybe. I'm gonna miss all this free time. But books must be cracked and all that. I'll make it through. First week is only three days, after all.
So yeah. No new weirdness to report in Alice yet -- I'm in the Dollhouse level, which is just chock-full of creepy. Though it's interesting -- when you first meet the Dollgirl, the game seems to make a different one every time. I also discovered that on one of the battle arenas, you can stay on a ledge to the side and kill a bunch of Drifting Ruin and the Dollgirl much easier. The Menacing Ruin doesn't even form until you hop on.
-TD: I see we're thinking tactically. How are the weapons?-
All upgraded. :D So no more having to obsess over teeth. I'll probably still get them if they're there, but now I can concentrate more on bottles, memories, and snouts. Keep your fingers crossed I manage to sweep this chapter too!
