crossover_chick: Victor leaning over to look at a blue butterfly in a glass jar (CB: i has a happy thing)
Pretty simple and straightforward one -- went up to the mall, had some fun, came back home. I didn't even buy anything beyond lunch, Dave & Busters credits, and a mini Blizzard. The most pertinent points:

-->The bus on the way up there nearly broke down! It didn't totally quit on us, but we inched our way into Providence, more or less. Apparently the people told the driver just to do her best to get to Kennedy Plaza. *shrug* So long as we didn't get stranded on the highway. . .
-->In Portal 2 merchandise, they now have long fall boot socks and inflatable turrets. I still think the shower curtain is the best thing ever, though.
-->Had a chicken teriyaki sandwich on honey oat bread for lunch -- I haven't had that in ages. Tasty.
-->Dave & Busters was running another special on top of the "half-price Wednesdays" one -- they'd put in some new games, and if you bought a new PowerCard or recharged your old one during the month of July, you got two free plays on some of them. So I took advantage of that on a couple of them -- a variation on "whack-a-mole" with lights, and a new driving game. In fact I got THREE free plays on the driving game, because after the first one I won a new race. XD
-->This goodness comes with a price, though -- it looks like they've ditched a game I liked, "Arctic Thunder." And I wasn't able to get get any new music because they only had one song I wanted, and when I tried to get it, the kiosk glitched. Bleh.
-->Treat of the day -- Chocolate Candy Shop mini-Blizzard from DQ. Vanilla and chocolate soft-serve with little filled chocolates (caramel, fudge, and hazelnut) swirled in, and a dusting of cocoa. Om nom NOM.
-->Waiting for the bus: brutal. The air was ultra-heavy today. A pea-souper, if I may borrow an expression from our British friends. And it really didn't get much better -- the thunderstorms we were supposed to get to clear out the heat and humidity never really materialized. We'll see how it is tomorrow.

Anyway, that was my day. Felt good to get out, even if waiting for the bus was an experiment in how much I could sweat. Again, fingers crossed things are better tomorrow!
