Nice Quiet Day
Aug. 24th, 2012 11:42 pmTook my walk; got gum 2 for 5 (the usual price is 3.99 a thing) and 89-cent potato chips; watched some Alice Let's Play and Rifftrax with lunch; watched some Coraline special features with supper. Yes, I really live the high life when my parents are away on Block Island for a day. XD
Mom and Dad came home with a bunch of baby horseshoe crab shells (it's so weird to see them so small), and another My Little Pony toy they found on the beach! It's a light purple pegasus with a long blond curly mane and tail -- the tail is brushable, while the mane is plastic. She also has a lily for a cutie mark. Research has turned up that she's from this year's line of McDonald's MLP toys, and her name is Lily Blossom. I'm calling her Lily McBlossom to reference her origins. She and Cherry Starsong are hanging out together at the moment. (I really need to get batteries for my camera -- there are pictures to be taken! Especially if I manage to get my hands on an Alice toy anytime soon. Oh my God, the articulation I saw -- her ANKLES bend. And her skirt is soft silicone, so she has actual moveable legs and knees! It's fucking AMAZING.)
Also, finished the other Bioshock-based ficlet for my 14 Sins & Virtues table. I'll probably start posting those soon, as I figure out how to match up the remaining prompts to fandoms.
Also, "To Boldly Flee" is apparently on a "every three days" schedule, thanks to exporting error. *Vader* NOOOOOOOO! (Well, okay, they also say they don't want it shadowing the other reviews, but I think the large gap between updates is largely the exporting thing.)
