More Portal Derping!

I have moved up to 70s Aperture and the Propulsion gel tests. I spent so long trying to figure out the first room and how you were supposed to get to a button suspended sideways in mid-air. . .to the point where I finally quit out and looked it up on YouTube. Turns out my idea about painting the wall with Propulsion gel was full of fail -- I was supposed to use the gel I already had to zip through a portal for the necessary boost. >.< I quit out again when I came to another complicated room because I wanted to look at a walkthrough and make SURE I got it right. Many steps to that one. But I think I've got it, and will be trying it tomorrow.

Also, it's weird, but you can nearly miss GLaDOS, it looks like. I spent some time trying to figure out where she was in the building (as I knew she was somewhere near the beginning of the 70s tests), and it turns out she's on a floor you have to use your flinging ability to get to. Fortunately I spotted and and retrieved her with no problem after that. Slooowly getting the hang of this. Possibly.

Other notable of the day: inkwell_bar is live on Dreamwidth! This means all my RP stuff is officially moved over. Yay. Steve & Gary have their birthday coming up -- I'll have to think up a couple of presents for them. . .
