I Just Backed Alice: Otherlands

I pledged $36, for those wondering. I wanted the artbook, and that digital version was the cheapest. Now to see if I'll actually be charged and this will be funded! Things are looking decent, at least: $112,021 at halfway through. I think we have a chance of making this. :)

Other shit to report -- added a chunk about Alice discovering the Teapot Cannon to Chapter 13. Currently it ends before her first real fight with a Colossal Ruin, but I may change that in future. Will be watching more Vale of Doom LP tomorrow to tweak sections and add anything else that I think needs to be added. I also approved another application to mallowhallow and put up the HMD/AC meme. I plan to have the new NPC page ready to go by the end of that, so I can announce it in one big post. I've also been thinking up ideas for events, which is oddly fun. Let me mess with your characters' lives, mwahahahaha~

I've also been considering my magic system -- every time I watch Helloween play "Eternal Darkness," it seems to pop into my mind. Much like the "Downpour" LP often got me thinking of Victor's Wonderland. . . Anyway, I've been wondering if I should give each spell its own specific little symbol and use those for the purposes of enchanting items. It seems a neat idea, but I don't want to make the magic system too complex. I mean, I'm working off somebody cracking an egg to release magical orange-grey fog here. Still, if it's specifically for enchanting stuff. . . I dunno. I'll think it over.

Perhaps not, but it's still fun! :) And you never know what Forgotten Vows might need. . .
