Happy Original Timeline Day!
Oct. 25th, 2013 10:04 pmLet us celebrate the timeline that will officially end/be transformed at 1:20 A.M. and zero seconds tomorrow morning. It's not the best timeline, but it's the one Marty grew up with. Your quote:
Lorraine McFly: Your father kissed me for the very first time on that dance floor. It was then that I realized. . .that I was going to spend the rest of my life with him.
George McFly: *starts goofily laughing at The Honeymooners*
Marty McFly & Linda McFly: *clearly thinking, 'Yeah, that worked out well, didn't it?'*
-M: Hey, I love my Dad -- all versions of him. That version just -- needed some spine.-
*nods* I know. But there's no mistaking the 'how good a kisser was he?' looks on your faces. XD
I did indeed watch the beginning of Part One today with my lunch -- October 25th lasts about 17.5 minutes, if you're curious. Standard set-up of the situation, I think. I also played A:MR -- I'm almost done with Queensland. I've checked off all the Radula Rooms, and I'll be checking off that last memory and meeting with the Queen tomorrow. I just -- there's only so much of Dark of Heartness I can TAKE. D: A few notes on today's session:
-->In the second of the chess puzzles, one of the Queen carvings is missing from the wall! There's a brick wall there instead. Neither of the other rooms has this -- most curious.
-->I really over-rely on the Teapot Cannon in battles. It's just so USEFUL. How people don't like it as a weapon I'll never understand.
-->In the floating platform area (you know, the one with the weights you've got to bounce on a mushroom to reach once you drop the bunny) right before the third chess puzzle and the Liddell Door, there's a mysterious Alice statue atop one of the towers. It looks like the Ruined one from the end of the Vale of Tears. O.o
-->Once you get past the big battle in the middle of Labyrinthine Revenge, go back to the gap you had to jump over. It'll be filled with a blockade of tentacles. No going backsies on the Queen!
-->The Epic Footsmash is still SO satisfying.
-->If you look carefully in the giant cup/fountain thingy Alice drinks from at the end of her giant segment, you'll see the words "Drink Me." Dunno why there's apparently a bath of shrinking solution in the Queensland grounds, but. . . *shrug*
-->Why does everything in the inner catacombs of Queensland have a pulse WHY
Also worked on Chapter 19 some more -- thinking I will be including the White King's scene. I'm still debating if I need the Liddell Door one -- I kind of cover what Alice realizes in there when she grabs the Lizzie's "locked room is a cage" memory. Hmmm. . .it's coming together, though. :)
Not much else to report on beyond me doing another round of housesitting duty and musing on tumblr about how I'd do Valice with an "Otherlands" Alice. And then me musing about how horribly I treat Victor to get him together with Alice. Apparently to get them together, Victor must be put through the wringer. It, uh, builds character?
-TTV: :| -
It's very hard to do fluffy get-togethers when one of the participants is from a horror video game. Even Butterfly Boy had to suffer through going mad.
. . .The one who went CLINICALLY INSANE had it the EASIEST. WHAT DO I WRITE
Er, anyway, tumblr! Good night!
