This is Temporal Experiment #1
Oct. 26th, 2013 10:04 pmThe stars have aligned, and we have a day of scientific advancement -- and a fair amount of suffering -- for our heroes. Let's have a classic for the quote:
Marty McFly: Wait a minute, wait a minute, Doc. . .are you telling me that you built a time machine -- out of a DeLorean?
Doc Brown: The way I see it, if you're going to build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style? :D
Come on, that smilie was totally Doc's face at the time. XD I did indeed watch my October 26th scenes for posterity -- Temporal Experiment #1, Doc avoiding death by Libyans, both versions of his wild return from 2015, and the trip to Hell Valley -- or, well, the beginning of it. After Marty discovers George's tombstone is apparently where things change over to October 27th. So tomorrow is Marty's confrontation with Biff, then his final return to 1985 at the end of Part III. Good times, good times.
Today ended up being a very non-internet day. I woke up around eleven, as I usually do, and then after a quick breakfast:
-->Had lunch with the parents while watching "Fraiser" (which is on Netflix in its entirety, so we can watch from the very first season)
-->Did my Halloween costume with Mom (getting the Little Sister dress all set up, then getting it mucky)
-->Watched the October 26th scenes from BTTF I & II
-->Wrote some more on "There's Always Tomorrow"

-->Played A:MR, getting past the end of Queensland and into the Dollhouse level. I maintain that everything is awful and creepy in the last part of the game. I mean, the raw meat surroundings of Queensland are horrific; the asylum is just terrible, and the Dollhouse unsettling -- particularly when you get that close-up of the Insane Children! Gaaaah. . . So far, though, I've been fortunate enough to get Dollgirls with only one weapon-ready arm. Still abusing the Teapot Cannon. YOU'LL PRY IT AWAY FROM MY COLD DEAD FINGERS.

-->Worked on Chapter 19, since I'd just seen the Queen's cutscene and thus could my version effectively
-->Went and housesat for a hour and a half while the owners went to see a friend's new place. I did have net there, but actually answering replies or anything was limited -- I had to play tumblr catch-up and everything first.
-->Took my shower once I got home
-->Had dessert while FINALLY catching up on a Helloween vid I missed. He's been very productive this week, but my dedication to BTTF has meant I've fallen behind. I'm almost all caught up now, though, so that's good.
Speaking of catching up on things, I owe a couple of replies on tumblr, I know that much. Need to get on that. So yeah, later, and enjoy this BTTF day that lines up so nicely with 1985!
