crossover_chick: Doc snoozing on his couch (BTTF: exhausted)
Probably because it's so close to the end of the week. *makes grabby hands at weekend* Waaaant. . . Though pathetically, it would have been fantastic today if only it hadn't been so damn WINDY! 61 F when I was coming home, but I had to keep my coat on for most of my walk because of the gusts! >.< And now Saturday's got thunderstorms expected. . . *grump* I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

Been running around getting tags up and doing DragonValey things -- not only have they rereleased the Solar Eclipse dragon (not sure why, except possibly "well, we started this event with the Lunar Eclipse. . .), they've also got a new dragon, the Arbor. Which you get by breeding a Forest and a Tree, natch. Because that's what we need, DragonVale, yet another Plant/Earth combo. (Being a bit facetious there -- it is cute.)

Curiously, this double-release has found me in two minds about whether or not I pony up the dough for that Lost Island:
A. There is always room for more space in this game. I mean, seriously -- you need every bit of island real estate you can get to properly fit all the habitats you need for about 180 dragons. And while I know it would be better to save my money, there's this little part of me that keeps piping up, "But it's perfect for Seasonal habitats!"

B. But on the other hand, if I do what I'm doing now and hoard my eggs (to the point of waiting to clear those last three obstacles until the next Double Egg weekend starts), I'm going to get a bunch of gems (30 so far), and THOSE I can pour into both upgrading my breeding areas and/or more giant habitats. That would help my space issue by being able to put more dragons into less habitats, and then just position the bigger habitats attractively around the islands.

I'm 99% certain Option B is the way to go -- I guess I'm just a little sad that I can't keep that cool island. But I also guess I understand that Backflip does need people to be willing to pay sometimes. . .

Ah well. Life for you. And getting a bunch of gems is not a bad deal. And I got every other reward too. :)

Speaking of iPad games, thanks to constant promoted tweets on my Twitter app's dashboard, I find myself kind of intrigued by Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft. It's a computerized card game, like Magic: The Gathering. I guess I just want to see why it keeps popping up -- and I have been intrigued in the past by card games of that sort. Maybe I'll take a look this weekend. Right now, I'm gonna have some ice cream, then finish up running around and answering tags. G'night!
