Dragon Naming Decisions
Jul. 31st, 2014 08:17 pmAll right, I was going to keep "Bud" for my Summer dragon for the LOL factor, but while catching up on my tumblr dash today I saw some posts from a pagan friend about the festival of Lammas, and now I'm starting to wonder if that isn't better. It would certainly fit well with my Spring dragon, Imbolc. . .decisions, decisions. . .
Anyway, while I continue to have no luck with the Ruby (they just pretty much REFUSE to make one; I'm going to have to wait for a Bring 'Em Back I'm 99% sure), I did get another dragon I've been trying and trying for -- the Wisp! It came with the name Bolt, but that didn't feel quite right. . .so I named it Merida. XD Those of you who have seen Brave will get why. Slowly but surely chipping down the list of dragons I need to get. . . I've also, by some miracle, managed to max out the fireflies I get from food, DC, and eggs for the day already. Weird, but I'll happily take it. Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed for a double weekend. . .
In Hearthstone, I have beaten the Arachnid Wing! :D I can thank the Wiki for giving me tips on how to do so -- they led me in the direction of using Jaina to blast Maexxna, the giant spider, with spells. I did try first with Thrall, since he has a lot of Charge and Windfury minions in the deck I made him, but while he did okay, he eventually fell victim to Maexxna's superior board control. Worth it to hear the Lich endboss chatter on, though. He be amusing. XD Anyway, I've cleared out that quarter, and can unlock the next! . . .Which I will be waiting on doing, despite having the gold available, because apparently there's all sorts of problems with people not being able to play it or being charged twice, and I don't want to dive into a hornet's nest. I can wait -- and work on my heroes in the meantime. (Should probably go ahead and get my Warrior out and about, just so I have all his basics unlocked should I need him. . .)
And in fanfic news, I wasn't much in an editing mood -- so I went ahead and started "Remembering You." Hey, I have the itch for it, and I might as well get going on a first draft while I'm home on the job search, right? Haven't done much beyond the first page yet, but I'm looking forward to fleshing it all out and seeing where things will fit in.
Not much else to report -- morning was spent looking at and applying to more jobs, afternoon was spent watching Nostalgia Critic (The Purge, which is a dumb movie yus) and writing. And doing a little RP queuing -- not much going on there today though. However, I do have some replies to get to, plus dessert to eat, so later all!
