Aaaand I Fail
Sep. 2nd, 2014 10:04 pmIn a minor way, but -- yeah, that date at the top is faked. ^^; I think it's time to admit that CB and AMA/A:MR have taken their places as my main obsessions. Still, at least I remembered before I forgot to update altogether. Happy "INDIANS!" Day! XD
Fortunately I don't fail on other things -- most of my to-do list has been taken care of nicely. :) Hit the post office, the bank, and the dentist this morning -- had to wait in a few lines, but nothing major. Dental appointment was just getting some x-rays done and doing the preliminary "getting to know you/your mouth" business. Apparently I have excellent teeth. :) I still need a proper cleaning, buuut they actually had an opening for that tomorrow, so I go back at 1:30 to get that done and be set for another six months. Hurrah. I also called both the job places -- had to leave messages, so I'll probably call back again tomorrow just to make sure. Can't be lax on the job hunt!
As for writing, finished first editing on another chapter of "In The Land of the Dead." I'm thinking this week's Friday update will be Chapter 5 of that, followed next week by another Blu-Ray chapter of "Forgetting You." I think this is a good plan.
RP -- did a queue this morning for tumblr, catching up on remaining replies right now (that's actually why I was late). Also doing some stuff for DG-Victor, and I SWEAR his plot will advance sometime this week! It's actually in my best interest to do so, since there's one thing with him and Doc I want to do before the wedding itself. . . Maybe I'll get the ball rolling on that before my cleaning tomorrow.
Games --
Hearthstone: Loss as Valeera to a Rexxar that was mainly the result of him having a better hero power than I had minions (I play a Taunt-based deck with her -- which is useless against a guy who can hit you for two damage whenever he wants). Win as Jaina against a Valeera thanks to clever use of freezing things. And a win as Garrosh against the Innkeeper playing Gul'dan to get another of his basic cards unlocked.
DragonVale: More minor failing on my part as I kept being late gathering food. Ah well, I am saving up for that Tenth Island. . . My Shadow hatched -- named Ameera, which I thought went very well with the Mirage's Pena, so I kept it. Sunstruck should be joining us tomorrow morning, so I gotta get a Sun habitat done before then. Gemstone breeders are not obliging and the Amber Pair are giving me either a Sun or a Rainbow. Darn it, if you're going to long fail, give me a Double Rainbow! That's the one I need!
Spellfall: Reclaimed Nightsbane Tower, working on reclaiming the Water Temple. Had some lucky escapes, including one where I won against a nasty corrupter at the very last minute thanks to a fortunate cascade that included an enchanted rune for extra damage. Eric's up to Level 15, and he is KICKING ASS. :D I'm almost through the Ironworks too, so that's fun. They call making machines Mechromancy where Eric's from. I demand people now use that in magic-involving steampunk stories.
And now I've got to get back to my long list of replies, so later all! Enjoy the start of BTTF week, and I will try to do an ACTUAL 10:04 update tomorrow!
