Comes In On Time Today
Sep. 3rd, 2014 10:04 pmHell, I made sure to get the page open a bit early. . .at any rate, Happy Going Through Hill Valley of the 1800s Day! I hope none of you had an embarrassing moment with horse poop! :P
Had a decent day today -- not nearly as muggy or hot today as it was the past couple of days, so I was able to get in a walk before my dentist appointment. Teeth are now all clean, and the verdict is they're doing good but I really should floss more. I just find it such a pain to get into the back teeth. . . Still, at least I don't have any cavities or anything to worry about. Parents are also back from their jaunt to Salem -- they had an excellent time hitting all the museums and stuff. They even brought me back a Young Frankenstein shirt! :) Hopefully the weather stays nice enough this autumn so I can wear it at least once in October.
Writing update: Couldn't concentrate on editing Chapter 7 of "Forgetting You" for Blu-Ray edition, so instead I went ahead and retouched some stuff I'd written for "Remembering You." I'm looking forward to starting that in earnest once I finish "In The Land of the Dead." And "Triskaidekaphobia," though that's shorter and easier to work around "Remembering You." Hooray for getting more of the Forgotten Vows Verse done!
Games Update:
-->DragonVale: Sunstruck has hatched, and been named Surf because of all the surfer references in his description. XD And while my Amber breeders have insisted on giving me a Rainbow, my Sapphire breeders (Shower and Everest) have kindly given me the Sapphire I need! :D I think I'll try for the Orchid next and see if I can clear out all the Elemental categories in the Dragonarium. Then onto trying to get a Bronze to clear out the Treasure Dragon category.
-->Spellfall: I am now the proud owner of an Electric Claideamh -- basically a super-glowy purple sword that essentially destroys water-based enemies. I wasn't sure if it was actually any better than my favored Dark Staff, but after using it in the Water Temple -- yeaaah, it was a good reward to get. :P I've also opened up all the slots on it AND the Dark Staff, so I can switch between them at will without losing runes. (Dark Staff's still better for anything not explicitly a Water enemy, especially since it's got better Drain.) AAAAND -- the calendar's reset. What I thought was a one-time deal is in fact a cyclical thing! Another twenty days, and I get another super-expensive sword! Hurray! :D Probably go for the water one next, since when I'm not working on recapturing areas I'm working on the Ironworks, which should be followed by a Fire temple. . .
-->Sims 4 CAS Demo: Started making Telltale Marty today! Kind of difficult because I have to rely on pictures searched on my iPad, plus there's no way to get him a decent hair yet, but it''s coming along decently well, I think. At least I was able to get him into some decent outfits. His aspiration is of course to be a great musician, with Music Lover, Self-Assured, and Ambitious as his traits. I'll work on the young adult version of Doc this week too -- he'll be fun to make, I'm sure. :)
Also, while we're talking about Sims 4, my decision not to buy yet has been strongly justified -- not only is there a lot of disappointment lurking around the web about missing features and such, the damn thing needed a launch day patch to fix some pretty interesting bugs. I'm still intrigued by it and want to play it -- buuut for the price they want, I want a fully-patched base game AND at least one EP.
Anyway, in the middle of doing RP replies -- will talk to you all later!
