Sum-Up Of My Day
Oct. 31st, 2014 11:19 pm-->One of my more boring days at work (though I did set a new record of Excel entries I put in in a day), and once again I was the last one out of the office
-->Cold and kind of rainy weather
-->Got a phone call at work from Mom; worried it was an emergency, instead turned out to be news that I was needed for housesitting after I got home
-->Bus screw-ups thanks to a visit from the president at one of the colleges necessitating routes be changed this morning: first my morning one skipped my normal stop entirely, forcing me to backtrack from the last stop, then my afternoon one was late and hit nastily-heavy traffic to boot
-->Only got a chance to dress up for about 2 hours (wore my old Docette 2015 costume); trick-or-treaters around here STILL haven't figured out to come to the inner door or that there's two houses (I live in a duplex with my aunt and uncle on the other side)
-->Two hours of housesitting while I try to do anything productive -- not much activity with either of my boys on tumblr, which is both blessing and curse
-->Also tried to play the A:MR storybook app, only to discover the menu screen no longer responds to my touches (and it's only that game), so apparently that's broken and there's probably no hope of a fix
-->Only recently got my shower and had to deal with a spider on the door of the bathroom
Happy fucking Halloween. About the only positive to the day has been getting a cool plate from my parents (I'll have to see about taking a picture later) and having as much sugar as I want -- had a cupcake for breakfast (it came on the plate), got some M&Ms at work, and of course there's the leftovers of the candy bowl downstairs. Yum yum. And there's been a surprise birth on my dash too (one of Forgotten Vows's friends has been pregnant for a while and just had her son), so that was actually a pretty pleasant thing to see.
Still, not feeling my best -- I'll see what I can do with everything, but I suspect most of Saturday is going to be spent playing massive amounts of catch-up.
