Housesitting Night
Dec. 5th, 2014 11:34 pmWhich started off VERY poorly with much screaming from the old woman Mom looks after. I was seriously worried I was in for a rough ride (Mom's ride was already rough). Fortunately she's gone to sleep now, so I'm in the clear. Tomorrow's housesitting job is currently questionable -- I won't say no to more cash, but I also won't say no to sleeping in my own bed either. We'll see how things go.
As things stand right now, I've spent some time on TV Tropes and am feeling more inclined to pleasant thoughts. Reading the pages for Discworld books will do that to a gal. :) Have received confirmation that the "Brother Oats" Nutt thinks about fondly in Unseen Academicals is the same one that got a starring role in Carpe Jugulum. Going up in the world, eh Oats? :) I'm at the big football match in the former book, by the by, and things are getting dicey yet awesome. William De Worde trying to write an article on the ongoing game is priceless. :D Especially when one of the players insists on his full title and RIDICULOUSLY long list of honors and degrees be used in all his victory chants. . . Have I mentioned lately how much I love Terry Pratchett?
Other things of note -- Eric is getting his edge back in Spellfall; I'm getting some sort of Olympus dragon in DragonVale (fingers crossed it's the Gold I need!); worked on Christmas gift fic for a few people for writing (which has been sorely lacking this week). Also, I have received news that my Christmas/Birthday computer is backordered and probably won't arrive until the end of the month.
My birthday, as you may recall, is the 27th. And on a Saturday this year, which means we'd get mail delivery. Place your bets!
Okay, now I should take care of some RP stuff -- should at least set up queues for tomorrow for Butterfly Boy and Forgotten Vows. At least everyone should be used to my mucking about on Fridays by now. . .
