Installing Installing
Dec. 13th, 2014 11:47 pmSlowly getting this computer how I like it. I've fixed the problem with the two DW logins that weren't working, got my themes for my computer and my Firefox set up, and I should have pretty much every password I need at the moment put in. I still need to get some programs sorted, but I'm pretty much on track for getting things sorted.
I also reinstalled one of my games today -- Telltale's BTTF Game! Though at first it looked like it wouldn't load -- it kept claiming it was missing a file. Fortunately I stumbled upon the solution by looking through the other files on the DVD and realizing I had to set up DirectX again. After that, bam, game up and running. I played through some of the first episode, and it runs quite smooth and looks very clear. That's the big draw of this computer -- the resolution is top-notch, and the speakers really are awesome. :D Though when I tried to watch one of the behind-the-scenes videos, it skipped and stuttered at first. . . Willing to write that off as a one-time glitch, though. Like I said, the game itself ran fine. Just gotta get the Alices on there now, and I'll be set!
Not much else to report -- I somehow managed to actually sleep in at the housesitting job, so that was nice. Finally got a full eight hours there! And the rest of my day that wasn't playing with my computer settings was spent catching up on YouTube and Channel Awesome. Covered Linkara, Nostalgia Critic, and Helloween's Secret World and Alien: Isolation stuff. Tomorrow I catch up on No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle. :)
