So I Turned Into A Walrus Today
Apr. 1st, 2015 10:23 pmBecause every April Fool's post needs a goofy title. XD Anyway, it's been a pretty good April Fool's -- work went well, and I enjoy Google's prank of the year -- the temporary ability to play Pac-Man on Google Maps! (Why they didn't call it Pac-Maps I'll never know.) Actually, I discovered this yesterday -- went live early I guess. Helped keep me entertained during those brief periods at work where I caught up with the scanners again. Never thought typing too fast would be a problem. . . *shrug* Still got 500 records in (507 to be exact), so I don't think there will be any complaints.
Hasn't been much else in the way of jokes today, beyond xkcd doing a goofy "choose or draw a picture to go with this text/choose or write a text to go with this picture" interactive thing and Tumblr pretending to get into the business software biz, complete with doodlepad app, calculator, spreadsheets, and an annoying character, Coppy the copier. Clicked on it on my main just for funzies, but didn't do much with it -- just wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I was more focused on answering messages and getting my queues up anyway. Working on Forgotten's now, actually. . .
Speaking of RP, Simon's birthday party is up, for anyone who would like to attend (aka Gigs :P). Just keeping it nice and simple and fun. Thinking about throwing one of my regular Nexus crew out into the world sometime this weekend too, since I'm doing plotty things with Ael and her character needs to meet more of mine and suchlike. You wouldn't think RP would be so involved, but it is sometimes. :P Plot is good, though, and it makes sure I don't neglect my DW babies too much.
However, tomorrow is "going off to the mall" day! Been looking forward to this for a while -- keep your fingers crossed it doesn't rain! (I'm going anyway and I'll have my umbrella, but nice weather would be better.) Don't have any specific plans beyond "wander around and have fun," but it'll be nice to get out and about on my own terms for a change. Does mean that I do have to get to bed by a certain time, so I'll wrap this up and start on Forgotten's queue in earnest. Have a good night, walruses!
