It actually looked like it was going to thunderstorm when I first got up. Never did, happily, but we're expecting some nasty weather come Sunday. Have to see how that goes. . .

Parents are home from their vacation -- they had a good time, which I'm glad of. I was worried something would go horribly wrong. Work was its usual somewhat boring self. I've been looking at bits and pieces of Bloodborne lore during breaks in the action -- pretty fascinating stuff. Though I've come to the conclusion I need to find a longer, more complete LP of the game to watch or read -- Hell's version seems to have left out a fair chunk of the sidequests! Makes the 100% completionist in me twitch. . .

I also finished To Your Scattered Bodies Go, despite the paperback I was reading's best efforts to fall apart on me. It -- this is one of those books where the concept is better than the execution. Part of it is simply because it's dated, and stuff that was okay in the early 70s makes us cringe now, but part of it -- PJF is not really that good a writer. At least, he wasn't at that point in his career. I'll probably make a longer rant about this later, but he has a nasty habit of skipping over pretty decent hunks of story, so that plot developments suddenly come out of nowhere. And then the climax goes by too fast! Suffice it to say I'm very surprised the damn thing won a Hugo Award.

Not much else to say -- tomorrow is about teh shopping (I need new shoes and underwear), so I gotta get to bed a little earlier than usual. So I'm going to do Forgotten's queue, catch up on main tumblr, throw up the DW stuff I drafted, then hit the sack. Night all!
