Long Friday -- Again
Dec. 4th, 2015 11:47 pmI really miss the early dismissals from summer. . .at least today wasn't too painful. Got more duplicates sorted out, and I brought home both fudge and sandwiches thanks to an old coworker stopping by to give out presents and somebody else having had a meeting catered and leaving leftovers in the fridge. So lunch for tomorrow is all set, at least. :P
Another instance of long tonight was us trying to watch QI on YouTube -- for some reason, YouTube on the Roku has taken to doing the "stop-start need time to buffer" thing, and it's really annoying. You can't even pause it properly to force it to buffer -- all commands from the remote are delayed. It doesn't do this with anything else, so we're figuring it has to be YouTube. We have figured out a work-around -- leave the YouTube app entirely, then come back and resume the video by looking it up in our history (it even kindly keeps our place) -- but it's still kind of time-consuming, and I wish it would just stop already. This is a funny show and it deserves to be watched as God intended.
Anyway, despite the late online start, I still got a bit done on Chapter 24 -- Alice and Caterpillar this time. I figure I can do Alice and the Queen tomorrow, at least, and probably more than that. It's a pretty short chapter, but one that I don't feel needs to be really all that long. We're hitting the climax -- short and sweet is the deal here. And I really want to get this completed in time for Christmas.
All right *claps hands together* Just finished catching up on tumblr replies from earlier in the day -- time to work on DW ones while keeping an eye on the various dashes. Let's see how I do. Night all!
