Quiet Monday
Dec. 7th, 2015 10:35 pmWork went pretty smoothly -- just finishing up looking up more duplicated records (past another school), doing the direct debits, that sort of thing. My coworkers got out the mini-Christmas trees and Nativity scene to decorate the office. The Nativity figures are actually pretty damn adorable -- they're little felt dolls weighted at the bottom to stay upright. It's cute. :) Definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas over there.
In writing news, started a bit on Chapter 25 -- I actually haven't edited much of the very beginning. I thought I would have to expand the fight scene that opens it a bit, but -- I dunno, I rather like how it is. It's short, sweet, and to the point. I mean, we still get to see Alice kill the Dollmaker. And besides, we're all here to see that bastard get shoved in front of a train, aren't we? Skimming it over, I don't think this is going to need as much editing as I thought. Which is a good thing, as it gets us going on the next story faster. Figures I'd hit my stride with this thing in the very last chapter. :P
Not much else to say -- I got up to a 55-win streak on Soltaire Blitz before getting hit with a bad stack of cards, I've gotten past the first energy/electrical boss in Spellfall again, my Andromendan dragon is all hatched and happy in DragonVale, and I won some more starfruit in Fruit Ninja's festival challenges. I also just completed my tumblr queues, so that's nice. Butterfly Boy was particularly quiet today, though I got to stick a very nice piece of fanart in his queue. :) Gonna do some DW replies, then maybe just laze around for a while -- I've got tomorrow off because of religious feast day reasons, and I'd like a mostly quiet night. Besides, I'm not planning on staying up too late -- midweek days off aren't good for that, and besides I need to finally get some dusting done in here.
Anyway -- replies, then maybe a snack. Dessert tonight was a cup of proper hot chocolate (instead of the low-calorie mix stuff I usually have) and I'm feeling kind of peckish now. G'night all!
