I woke up at 9:30 this morning, figuring I'd spend the day writing, watching Linkara, dusting, and just generally futzing around. However, around 10:00 my parents came back from a trip to Wal-Mart and asked if I wanted to go to the YMCA with them. I haven't been in a couple of months, and we still have the multi-trip guest pass, so I said sure.
I did not realize they meant going at about 10:30 or so.
Cue me feeling really rushed as I try to get together a workout outfit and keep track of all the stuff I'm taking (including towels and a change of clothes so I can shower there). Not how I usually like to spend my mornings. I did get breakfast out of the deal (chocolate chip pancakes), at least. And it was good to get out and get in some different exercise rather than just walking or the elliptical (even though I used one of those over there -- just a different kind). We ended up staying until 12:40, and for a minute I thought it was gonna throw my entire day off.
Well, it did with the dusting -- I ended up starting that late, and only got a few shelves of my black bookcase done (although that's partially because dusting also by necessity means rearranging my figures, including my vast collection of minimates). But I got to watch Linkara with my lunch (review of a visual novel, which is 80% tedium, 10% interesting philosophical questions, and 10% creepy-as-shit sexual "jokes" involving a human-level-intelligence dog and his "kinks"), and I got more edited on Chapter 25 (up to the break between leaving Moorgate and making it back to Houndsditch). I even got to fit in the Nostalgia Critic's look at "A Charlie Brown Christmas" with dessert. So yeah, I guess I did get a fair bit done. I just wish it didn't come with some soreness where the bicycle seat was (seriously, they make them as uncomfortable as possible).
Anyway -- I just finished tumblr queues, so it's time for the late-night DW round-up. Night all, sleep tight!
