Shockingly Relaxed Tuesday
Dec. 22nd, 2015 11:10 pmGranted, getting the cookies and gift bags up to work wasn't the easiest of activities, but I managed it -- and it was well worth it. My coworkers all liked their little tissue holders (one in particular raved about the color she got -- go me for randomly selecting it for her XD), and the cookies are a huge hit in the office. I swear, I bet they'd hire Mom to bake for them for important functions if they could. XD
But yeah, it was a pretty low-key day overall. I did work, of course, but I ended up having a long lunch with some of my coworkers since they were going to a nearby pizza place (as in, you can walk there from the Diocese). I got a Conrad pizza, which is a very flat pizza with onions and sausage and special cheese (I forget the details). Tasted all right, but I confess, I am not a thin crust person. I like having plenty of bread to bite into. Still, it was good for what we go -- and our director kindly paid for it all, so that was nice. Must remember to get a thank-you card for him. Plus, there were leftovers -- I still have two whole pieces from my "personal" pizza, so lunch for tomorrow is set too. So that was nice. :)
And then we had a surprisingly nice ride home -- some slowdowns, but nothing too major -- a very funny episode of QI, and I got on the computer with plenty of time to write my remaining drabbles! All slots filled, folks! :) Ahh, feels good to have that off my back. . .now I just have to finish coming up with the presents my tumblr Victors are going to give those people in their lives. Forgotten's got a shockingly big list, I must say -- though I guess that's a good thing. Better than him being a hermit. :P
I do have some DW replies, but they came late enough in the day that I think I'm gonna have to draft them over lunch tomorrow (though there's a bit of talk of us having a half-day, so. . .) And I'm up later than I want as it is -- I was trying really hard to get out of the habit of being on the computer past 11 on work nights, but it always seems I have so much to do and so little time to do it in. . .well, I'm heading to bed now, at any rate. We'll see how it goes from there. Night all, sleep tight!
