Somewhat-Stressful Pre-Christmas

-->My supervisor wanting to have a chat with me this morning due to it being six months since I was hired (fortunately said chat boiled down to "You're doing a great job, very glad you're here, just might want to rethink drinking soda with your lunch" (I've been keeping my burps as quiet as possible, but. . .))
-->Not knowing if/when we would be getting out early (we did, at 3 -- enough time to catch the earlier 66 home and thus not stress out about catching the 3:38 65)
-->Getting home only to discover Dad went to meet me at the wrong place (I got off at a stop not far from our house, in front of a Printsource, but Dad went up to the mall, where I usually get off on the 65. Reason? I told Mom I was going to the Printsource stop, but for some reason she got it in her head that Printsource = Staples (which is up at the mall) and thus didn't tell him to go anywhere different than usual) and had to hike home in the rain. Fortunately, it was very light rain, and I wasn't far.
Fortunately, there's been a number of nice things happening that help mitigate all that:
-->Lots of nice coworker presents, including a plastic angel ornament that glows and changes color; a bell-shaped bird seed thing (you hang it out and let the birds peck at it) with a little bird ornament attached; a new notebook with both lined and unlined paper; hand soap, a gingerbread man towel, and a container of candy; and two "see anything" movie tickets that should be good at the IMAX
-->Even with the "why can't you just send out an e-mail right away, why make us wait to find out" and getting caught in the rain, still got home early! Spent my free time playing DragonVale, but what can you do :p
-->Speaking of DragonVale, had just enough for Ornamental and Lace! Former's hatched, latter's still incubating. Delirium is also ready to be hatched, but I have to wait for its habitat to finish building (ran out of room in the old Dream one). I also bought the Return of Whitbee decorations I missed.
-->Got a quick edit run in on my gift drabbles -- they're looking good, if I do say so
-->Somebody playing both Doc Brown and Agatha Heterodyne followed Butterfly Boy on tumblr, which is way cool -- I made a starter for the Doc, and I'm thinking I'll probably send an ask the Agatha's way (along with a message saying 'Your theme is so cool')
-->Watched the end of Linkara's take on "Zombies Christmas Carol" -- he liked it, and I did too. It's a very interesting twist on the classic Christmas story. I wouldn't mind picking up a copy of my own, if I can find it.
-->Got my birthday present early -- a new desk chair! It's amazing to have something cushy under my butt again :P Seriously, though, it's really nice and I'm already enjoying it quite a bit.
Now, of course, is the time for late-night RP catch-up -- just did my tumblrs, so time to move onto DW. Night all -- see you Christmas Eve!
