Last Presents of Christmas and Birthday!
Jan. 2nd, 2016 11:43 pmAKA we finally got up to see my Auntie Ann so she could give us the stuff she'd bought us. My share of the loot:
-->A new set of flannel sheets for my bed (which she gave me just in time, as it's getting into bitterly-cold-below freezing territory this upcoming week)
-->The Amazing Maurice & His Educated Rodents, the first Discworld young adult novel that I wanted (since I finished the adult stuff)
-->The Vinyl Idols statue of Doc
-->Back To The Future: The Ultimate Visual History -- which is bigger, heavier, and comes with more extras than I realized (a holographic version of the famous fading photograph! a copy of Marty's letter to Doc, and Doc's letter to Marty! a Biff Buck! a reproduction of a staff pass to BTTF: The Ride!) -- plus intros by Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd! :D It has been a good year for Backie gifts. I'm going to have a ton to read on the subject, let me tell you.
Other things of note:
-->Watched the NC's review of The Force Awakens with the Cinema Snob, which was amusing but shorter than I anticipated. And perhaps a bit heavy on the Jar-Jar vs poo jokes. I liked the mocking of the Holiday Special, though. :p
-->Work continues on "Remembering You" -- focused today on working in a reporter from the Illustrated London News, since they're of course going to be all over this story. Also allowed me to touch on one of my headcanons -- that it was one of THEM who sent Alice the picture of her family, figuring it was a good "thank you" for all the headlines. (If you play the storybook app, they do seem to come off as on her side.) Good times :D
-->Played some more BTTF: The Game. Got two of the "wreck Edna and Emmett's relationship" goals down -- just the mind map to go. I also made sure to give a bunch of people algae cakes to turn their teeth green. XD That's such a fun little extra, I love it. Go Telltale.
And that's about it, really. Been a pretty nice Saturday overall. Hopefully Sunday will be the same -- last day of the four-day weekends, after all. *sigh* Ah well -- all good things must come to an end. See you all later!
