Tiring Monday
Feb. 29th, 2016 10:40 pmThere were periods of dullness interspersed with periods of excitement -- namely, working on CAP stuff while also getting mailing labels, the GL, and billing files done. But everything got completed in the end so that was good. Tomorrow we have to run weekly parish reports, which I'd like to get done first thing in the morning just so it's out of our hair. Hopefully it won't turn into a clusterfuck!
I also got out for a walk on my lunch break -- hit 60F in the city today. Though it was pretty darn windy too. . .I went sans coat and almost immediately regretted it. Still, glad I got out before it started off-and-on raining in the afternoon. Tomorrow's supposed to be colder, then rain on Wednesday, then more colder temps Thursday and Friday. Fun. But the general trend is to warm up, and I am all for this, let me tell you. Very glad winter this year is proving a ton milder than winter last year, but still -- not a fan of the cold.
Accomplishments of the day: Snagging the Double Leap Year in DragonVale (w00t) and writing some more of "Remembering You." Radcliffe is being kind of an ass, as Radcliffe does, but he is eventually going to fork over Alice's money, and that's the important thing. Trying to figure out what her inheritance should be. . . I'll have to look up Victorian money again. I don't want it to be too much, but I want her to have enough to help buy that house she and Victor will eventually be living in in Sandford. L1000 sounds like it'll do it, but with what I remember about what a pound could buy, it may be too much. . .
Also, Chapter 9's break-in could be pushed to Chapter 10, as I had a thought about Victor's parents meeting Nan Sharpe, whom I have also criminally underused. Nell versus Nanny could be pretty damn funny, and I think I owe it to myself to explore the possibilities. :P (And allow Nan to gloat about Alice falling in love with Victor.)
All right, been thankfully quiet on the RP front so far. . .gonna slap up the last of my replies and go to bed. Night all!
