Somewhat Less Busy Wednesday

Load lightened a bit today -- the weekly reports are all done, and we had an extra person in the office to help with the phones, so that was nice. Allowed me to finish off another school's alumni list, and take care of some pledge billing stuff. Plus one of the people in the back had a big, catered meeting, so I get free lunch tomorrow. So that's nice. :)

Also applied for my first credit card today -- a Capital One Secured card, since my credit history is basically nonexistent. I've always used my bank card for purchases. But the folks and I are hoping to buy a house or condo or something, which means needing to build up a credit history. So here comes the card. Dunno what I'll use it for beyond buying my monthly bus pass, but still. If I gotta have it, I gotta have it.

Unfortunately, application process meant no writing today, grr. Well, I'm sure I'll make up for lost time on the weekend -- I tend to really get into a groove on Saturdays and Sundays. Maybe because I feel less like I'm fighting against the clock. . .at any rate, tumblr queues have been settled, so it's time to do DW tags and see about hitting the sheets. The temperature has dropped considerably since this morning, and they're talking snow on Friday. *whine* At least next week is supposed to be nice. . .keep your fingers crossed!
