Yay, It's Friday
Apr. 29th, 2016 11:10 pmSpent most of the day working on a file of found e-mails for import into our system -- that and getting our latest round of pledge billing taken care of. At least it kept us all busy. And I was able to submit and get approved two more requests for time off -- my official vacation in June (13th-17th) and this upcoming Friday! I wanted that day because we have the Thursday before it off (holy day) and I thought it might be nice to have a four-day weekend. So that'll be fun. :)
Started work on Chapter 3 of "Losing You," have actually rewritten a good chunk of Victor's conversation with his parents once they get back from their rounds looking for the Everglots. It's all for the better, but still I wonder how I got here. If you see me getting back into in-depth edits with the next two stories, smack me. The most I want to do there is maybe alter one of Victor's comments about Alice's asylum experiences to mention he's experienced just the tiniest portion of what she went through and is utterly amazed she's not still there a drooling broken mess or something. If you're wondering what I'm talking about -- what has become Chapter 5 has a new beginning, and it mentions one doctor trying to "cure" Victor with cold baths and oatmeal three times a day. Not to mention the guy who suggested electric shocks gets a rather more involved flashback too. . . But you'll see that in a couple of weeks or so. :P
Anyway, most of the rest of the evening has been spent in catching up on Cake Wrecks, The Comics Curmudgeon, and tumblr, with breaks for DragonVale and Fallout Shelter. I'm one piece away from completing the Gaia scroll in the former -- just gotta get that last chest! In the latter, my Vault is hopping -- I've added another power station, a bunch of training rooms, and an outfit workshop. One of the available outfits is Rural Schoolmarm, of all things. Of course I had to make it. XD I also discovered (thanks to the Fallout Wiki) that I have managed to score a Legendary Weapon from one of my lunchboxes. Steve (my career explorer) must be thrilled to have that on his side when wandering the Wasteland. It's a fun little game, and I'm glad I got it.
All right -- time to take care of what tags I have (there are not a lot -- quiet Friday is quiet), then see if chat times with a friend who really wants to have them is going to happen. Night all!
