Chell-Makin' Saturday
Apr. 30th, 2016 11:30 pmGot on Sims 4, but only to see what Portal-related stuff was in the gallery. While I saw a few Aperture families (people like to put GLaDOS and Cave in with Wheatley and Chell), most used content from packs I don't own, and the few that didn't I didn't like the designs of. So I decided to make my own. As indicated in the title, tonight was Chell's turn -- used a few pictures of her from the web to make her face, then got all her clothes in order -- was able to find an outfit that matches pretty well, at least color-wise, with her Portal 2 duds. I made her an Athletic Sim, with the Self-Assured, Active, and Art-Lover traits. Wheatley will come later, and I'll plop them both in with Geeker the next time he comes up in the rotation. Which should be relatively soon, all things considered (such as me having a four-day weekend coming up).
Other accomplishments of the day:
-->Got more done on "Losing You," the Remastered Edition -- ended up significantly rewriting and adding to Pastor Galswells's condemning of Victor when I realized "you know, I really should address the whole 'Lord Barkis died at the end of CB' thing." Especially since it comes up again in "Forgetting You" as Victor's main rebuttal to "it was all in my head." For those curious, Galswells found the corpse in his room, and Barkis was buried just outside the city limits, as Victor will mention in Chapter 4. I think the "explanation" will be that Victor somehow frightened him to death -- I'll keep working on it.
-->Watched Linkara (Batman in a very stupid fight against a plant-man villain who just wants to get the whole world stoned/Robin dealing with teenage dealers and a friend who tried weed and had a really bad trip as a result; plus storyline!), Nostalgia Critic (talking about why critics may pan movies audiences love and vice-versa), some short Helloween videos (a few minutes of him playing a 2D-with-3D-style-graphics side-scrolling shooter called Seraph and a few seconds each of Snake from Metal Gear Solid 5 kidnapping animals via weather balloon), and a video about games that dickishly kept you from ever completing them because they couldn't finish the games in time. A good dent in what I've missed, but tomorrow it's going to be a marathon of Hells's RE5 and V:TM Malk sets. At least it'll be an enjoyable marathon.
-->Progressed onto the second stage of Gaia's nest in DragonVale! Got the two remaining scroll pieces last night, and I've already collected three of the elemental vials I need. So nice to be making progress there. Now if only I could get that damn Wavelyte dragon! Or the Vortex, come to think of it, but that one's not a limited. . .
-->Life is still good in Vault 490 in Fallout Shelter. We've got some babies on the way, and production is solid for keeping the Vault running. Everyone also has a good gun and an appropriate outfit now, so I'll be breaking down or selling a lot of the stuff I have in reserve so new stuff can be gathered/crafted.
And that's about it for the moment -- I'm doing the RP catch-up thing, so time to get back to that. Night all!
