Thundery Friday
Jul. 1st, 2016 11:24 pmDay started out nice enough, but then the clouds started moving in as I left work, and it's been on and off showers developing into passing thunderstorms ever since. I've shut off my computer twice thanks to lightning flashing outside my window. I suppose some natural fireworks aren't bad for the 4th of July weekend, and everyone keeps saying the next three days are supposed to be beautiful. . .plus we need the rain as the whole country now is abnormally dry, or so I hear. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how everything pans out.
Work was pretty quiet -- there was only a handful of us in, and most of our time was spent putting on the last gifts we can for the fiscal year. Bus ride home was pretty smooth, with only one instance of major slowdown happily. Got home around 3:30, which was very nice. :) Played DragonVale (Double Rings weekend right off the bat, and I swore my allegiance to Hidden Bolt House, yay), finished up edits on Chapter 5 of "In The Land of the Dead," and then -- out of curiosity -- decided to check out Steam because I heard there was a sale going on.
I'm now fighting the urge to buy truckloads of games because holy hell I can get all three Bioshocks for just over ten bucks and Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines is five and even Fallout 4 is half price -- trying to remind myself that I really don't have the time to turn into a real gamer, but it's not working very well. *facepalm* I've managed to avoid succumbing so far (helps that I've wandered onto TV Tropes in a vulnerable moment and am thus distracted by that now), but -- well, I actually do want to buy V:tM-B, Helloween's LP looks like loads of fun, but we'll see how many games I actually end up with.
Right now, though, I should push to answer a few things/queue up some stuff on tumblr before I'm completely lost to Tropes. Night all!
