Yup -- my early return from work proved to be the start of my playing Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines! With the latest version of the plus patch installed, of course, because buggy game is oh so buggy. As I've stated before, to provide a change from the LPs I've seen, I decided to play a male character, and a clan I haven't seen before -- Gangrel. I named him Harold Carter because I figured that was at least a semi-ridiculous name for a Gangrel. XD He's good at combat, lockpicking, and noticing things right at the moment -- I wanted decent Lockpicking and Investigation because I know that's important for getting all the goodies, and combat experience is crucial for the endgame, so. . .made it through character creation and the tutorial today. Harold will be taking on the wonders of Santa Monica later this weekend. :) Also, fun little logo joke I'm now sad the LPs I've seen leave out of their videos -- the nvidia logo at the start shows off Velvet Velour! As in, she appears sexily from behind the red-tinted logo -- then bites it and drains it of blood. Niiice. XD

I also got my writing done -- finished up the CB recap for Lizzie in "In The Land of the Dead," which is nice. I might be able to finish off the chapter itself by this weekend -- definitely should be good to go by next Thursday evening. Oh, and Gigs, he ends up demonstrating Shadow Play to her at the bar now, and I'm thinking she's going to say her goodbyes by trying it out for the first time herself at the end. How's that for active? :D

Not much else to say -- weather was gloomy and noticeably cooler today, and it's supposed to be "meh" weekend that-wise. More fall than summer, meh. . .on the other hand, looking like a heat wave at the end of next week, so it's kind of pick your poison. Work was extremely quiet, all about getting the last of the last-minute gifts on. I did get to start on the next Tiffany Aching book, Wintersmith -- ordered that and the last two off B&N during their 4th of July sale. Good stuff already, though that's no surprise with Pratchett. And I sent myself the CORRECT file for replies tonight, so the tumblr queue is done and I can finally answer some other stuff. So I should probably get on that. *nods* Night all!
