crossover_chick: Doc in goggles and holding a big old plug with the words "feeling sparky..." (BTTF: feeling sparky/creative)
Dad and I went out to one of the beach parking lots after lunch, and we practiced getting used to the brake, the gas, shifting, a little reversing, and turning. It was kinda scary at first, but I managed to do pretty well (better than Dad thought I would, by his own admission). So far I'm finding myself with a tendency to overturn and then have a bit of trouble straightening out. It's tough figuring out just how far to actually turn the steering wheel -- the car responds a lot faster to a lot less twisting than you might think! But I did not crack up the car, so that is a good thing. My parents are out at a flea market all day tomorrow, but Dad's talking about doing a half-hour after work on Monday. We'll see how things progress!

Other things that have been accomplished today:

-->Two more pages on the new beginning to Chapter 13; we're almost up to them visiting Houndsditch, but we had to take a detour in "Lizzie finds Bonejangles's fleshy form handsome" land :P

-->More adventures in Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines! Harry the Gangrel invaded the Empire Arms Hotel and proceeded to explore. To my surprise and delight, there's actually lots of open rooms on the ground floor -- including a ballroom where you can hear one of my favorite songs from the soundtrack, "Smaller God!" I could never understand where it came from since I'd never heard it in either of Helloween's LPs. You can even dance to it if you like. After raiding the backstage room for a ring and drinking a guy who was using the ground floor bathroom, Harry proceeded up to his two murder missions. First was Jezebel Locke, who fortunately wasn't too difficult -- though I managed to break the fight a little by not being fully in the door when the opening cutscene triggered. So Jezebel ended up having to chase me out in the hall briefly. XD After that was Boris, Venus's "partner" in the club business. Managed to successfully stealth past his guards (including one who REALLY should have seen me -- good thing nobody in this game looks down!) and got him to even send away his guard through Persuasion. In fact, I actually got the trigger for the alternate "Venucide" quest where you kill Venus for Boris instead, but turned it down -- I might do a low-Humanity run character later on where I take it. Boris was summarily drained dry, and I stole a bunch of stuff from his suite. And then got in a shootout with his guards after Dima spotted me trying to sneak out. I managed to kill a few and outrun the rest -- briefly went back to see about the others, but that just got me a Final Death and a reload.

Anyway, left the hotel and went back to Confession to wrap up Venus's questline. I now have a steady source of income from clubgoers, w000. I then took a brief detour to an abandoned warehouse to advance the Southland Slasher and Mudd Hunt quests (and tried to activate an Easter Egg with a severed head and a basketball hoop -- unfortunately, even in the virtual world, my aim is atrocious), before heading to the Last Round and finishing up the Patty quest with Skelter (still need to talk to Vandal back in Santa Monica, though) and the first half of the plaguebearer quest with Damsel. Then it was time to quickly hit Fat Larry's to sell some of the vendor trash I'd collected and buy some gun ammo before parking myself near the old homeless lady I need to talk to to continue the plaguebearer quest. Fun times~

Also, thought -- if I ever do a Ventrue playthrough, I may make his chosen people to feed on "men who are currently urinating" because DAMN are they easy to bite XD

-->Watched Linkara (review of the first chapter of the Yu-Gi-Oh GX manga, which was amusing if confusing to little old me, who doesn't know much about Yu-Gi-Oh me, and some heavy plot confirming Comicron 1 is out of commission and 90s Kid reappearing), Nostalgia Critic (about how fucked up the moving rating system has gotten, especially in regards to no one wanting to be G anymore), and a Fun With Shorts entitled "White Magic" (which I thought was going to be super racist but instead was about the science of light, which then metamorphosed into a car headlight commercial). Good times~

-->Got a Trench dragon in DragonVale, yay. :D I also got a Conch earlier in the week -- just one more, the Bubble, to go! Until they release another new set of dragons, of course. :P

Not much else to say -- doing the RP thing now, what there is of it. Got some Dreamwidth stuff I should at least make an attempt at answering. So yeah, gonna go do that. Night all!
