crossover_chick: Victor leaning over to look at a blue butterfly in a glass jar (CB: i has a happy thing)
Though given that most of my day was spent out of the house, I haven't really had any chance to celebrate. . . I wore my official CB shirt on my adventures, though, and reread a funny fanfic, and I've got a clip from the movie ready to go on YouTube, so that should suffice.

Summary of the Great DMV and Cape Cod trip:

-->Woke up about 8:30 -- had breakfast muffin, caught up on games and tumblr via the iPad.

-->Left about 10 -- stopped at Cumberland Farms on the way; parents got coffees while I grabbed a chocolate almond milk (not bad).

-->Got to the Middletown DMV around 11 (as I believe I stated yesterday, the one right down the road is closed on Fridays for no discernible reason).

Proceeded to wait two fucking hours for my ID renewal.

There wasn't even that much of a line -- what happened is that I guess the person who handled IDs went on break, and they didn't have a replacement lined up! It was really fucking irritating to hear every other category of number called except mine, let me tell you! Eventually the lady came back and I was able to get my picture taken and pay the fee, but MAN. Hate everything about RI government, I swear. . .

-->After that was over, finally made it to Lindsey's Family Restaurant about 1:45. Everybody had some of their famous seafood bisque (that's what it says on the menu), and then we all had a different kind of sandwich. Mine was an Italian Panini with proscuttio and pepperoni -- really tasty. The bisque was good too, though I didn't find it as mind-bendingly awesome as my parents did. I think they have trouble with the fact that I'm not a seafood person sometimes. But it was far from awful, and I'd probably have it again.

-->Proceeded to Pirate's Cove Mini-Golf, where we played the Blackbeard-themed course. Fun times -- that place is always awesome. Dad won the day, but I got the only hole-in-one, so that was nice.

-->After that, we started searching around for a ice-cream place. Mom found one by another mini-golf course, but it had closed up (for the day or the season, I'm not sure). We eventually resorted to searching online for places in Tiverton once we were on the highway (since we were passing through it anyway) -- found Gray's Ice Cream, a little carry-out place. Mom got a cone of coffee chocolate chip with sprinkles, while Dad and I both got hot fudge sundaes -- Dad's with pistachio ice cream, mine with Oreo. Really good stuff -- I haven't had a proper sundae like that in a while. Om nom nom~

-->After that was a quick stop at another little Cumberland Farms for water (we were all thirsty as heck), and then it was back home by about 7.

So yeah, I've got my temporary license, and we ended up having a nice day out after the DMV nonsense was settled. I also got two pages written on Chapter 13 of "In The Land Of The Dead" (w00t) and discovered a Twilight Tower setting in DragonVale that I'm not sure I noticed before -- "Dawn." It's pretty, I just have no clue where it came from. Usually we get new skyboxes with events. . . O.o Ah well, for those of us who like changing the weather, it's neat.

And now I really ought to watch my clip and get Butterfly Boy's queue done. Have a good night, folks!
